Native Son (Restored Text Established by the Library of America) Paperback

The legal duel over Bigger’s life was the best part of this book. It felt the turmoil and societal tugs in both. I don’t get Mr Wright’s thoughts on this being a romantic novel. I will ponder that.

How the book is very well written. For everyday reading.

Particularly important read during this current time of unrest. Important read to better understand the systemic racism in our country; origin and perpetuations.

I bought this book for my daughter who needed to read it over the summer. I read it years ago, so its a bit of a blur, but she enjoyed it more than the other books assigned. Richard Wright is one of the great American authors.

This copy of "Native Son" was published in 1968, nearly three decades after the book was originally released. This is a Library First Edition, which is not mentioned anywhere in the listing. This seller is using deceptive text to mislead customers.Then, when I reached out to the seller to ask a question about this, they sent back a generic response that customer service was not located in the same place as the books, so they could not help with specifics.The physical condition of the book is as described, but what the book actually is is very much not.

my son had to read it for a school report. By I saw the movie years ago.

The books were exactly what we wanted for the classroom. Challenging enough and not too juvenile.
