Would probably do the trick, but at the price you could do better. Bottom holding clips are so flimsy and loose, one was off on receipt so we had to return it, others were so loose that I wouldn't rely on them to not drop my cake on the floor!

I bought this for taller cakes and it’ll definitely work. In fact it’s perfect! It’s high enough for a 3-layer cake and wide enough for my 10” plates. I really like the sturdy snaps too… ideal for carrying heavier cakes.
