I am in agreement with with the positive reviewers in that, if you have problems starting the unit, READ the instructions…it tells you EXACTLY how to prep and start - hold it as they instruct when starting the engine - if you can’t start after 3 tries on full choke, move the lever to half choke and it will start -As far as the unit itself, I think it’s light as far as handheld blowers go - I will say that it is almost as powerful as my shroder backpack blower, which I also bought here - I’m confident I’ll get a lot of use out of it and the price I thought was greatUPDATE: blower quit after 5 mins of use - let it cool the restarted - 5 mins - obviously carb issueContacted Poulan pro cust service - all outsourced and no clue technically - I’m stuck with a brand new defective device which I cannot return and need to send to a repair shopAmazon, however, is helping to make things right by being in my cornerPoulan is a loser, but I love Amazon

Great blower. Cranks easy if you take time to RTFM. Looks like Darth Vader so embrace the power and vanish the leaves and what not. It runs circles around it's half brother the Husqvarna 125B for a lot less money. It's just great to spend money on something that does exactly what it is supposed to do.

This is OK, replaced one just like it that failed to start after 5 plus years. This one starts hard, and needs to warm up a lot to run full throttle. It does blow with a lot of force and does a good job. I got what I want and it is worth the money.Update, after using it all summer, stills runs good, still hard to start. I called the local PoulanPro repair guy and asked about getting it to start easier and warm up faster. He said, nope, cannot make it better just live with it.

I bought this product in fall of 2020. The ratings and power were attractive and it has a 2 year warranty. You are going to need that warranty!!! It ran for 2 uses at about 20 minutes apiece before issues started. The engine is very rough and does not have a smooth idle making you think it is cosntantly going to conk out(which it does with consistency). Seems like there is an issue with the gas/air flow mixture. This is tough to even start, full choke half choke no choke, it just didn't; want to run. Disgusted, I raked the leaves and put it away for the winter. In the spring I called the company regarding the warranty and was told to take it to any local dealer. The first dealer I called said that they would not work on them because it wasn't worth the time and they they were "garbage". I called the company back to relate the experience (thinking that like Ryobi, they would just replace it). Nope, they found a dealer further away in the next town who agreed to work on it. When I got it back I asked him what the issue was and he said they are very temperamental with regard to the gas you use. So I made sure that I used the same gas as it was supposedly calibrated for and guess what?. It still hems and haws, it doesn't seem to matter how much you choke it, you just can't seem to get it to stay running and to run smoothly with out bogging down and conking out. This was my third attempt to use it since it was "fixed" and I wound up not being able to use it again. I am not going to take this to a repair shop every other use. It ran like garbage pretty much out of the box, repairs/tune ups don't last more than a use or two and I just can't see bringing this back to the dealer to work on it every time I want to use it for some minor job. Sad because I have their chainsaw and that thing runs like a champ

I am very happy with this purchase. Started after two pulls right out of the box, compared to my other pull start products like my Honda lawn mower, Stihl chain saw and Echo weed wacker, only my Honda starts as easily. If you own a quality chain saw like a Stihl and understand how to operate the choke for starting, then starting this blower is fast and simple. I didn't think it was heavy compared to other gas operated lawn equipment, but compared to a battery operated lawn equipment yes it is heavier. This unit has good blowing power and gets the job done, but as others stated there is a design issue with the location of the suction if you are right handed, but it is a big plus for leftys.

This thing works great once it is started. Very hard to start and keep running. Once it is warmed up it runs really good.

Good product.Well built.Blows away my battery powered blower and also much more powerful (while being quieter) than my dearly departed Homelite gas blower. I was going to buy a lower end Stihl but I thought I would give this Poulan a shot first.It’s half the price of the Stihl and is more than up to the job I need it for.

The leafblower arrived quickly, easy to use right out of the box, works well, wish the pull cord was right handed instead of left handed as I find it a little awkward to start, otherwise quite happy so far with this purchase

Very pleased lots of power, just a slight turn on the right carb adjustment about a 1/8 inch to the right, but otherwise it ran and started within the first 4 pulls if you follow the instructions how to start. Very happy considering purchasing another one. Just mix the fuel according to the guidlines, i always just put a hair more in though, just have to clean the spark plug the odd time. If you mix it too low you will hear it in the engine.

Little heavy but not the end of the world, for me was very easy to start, the engine run very good.I run on high octane gasoline.

I can't get the blower to start even after replacing the spark plug. Took it to the supposed Depot only to find the serial started with 2012 which meant it was made 9 years prior to my purchase. Poulin discontinued phone customer service support in January 2021. I would bring it to the Amazon warehouse back home in Ottawa but I'm in New Brunswick at our seasonal residence. Feel totally ripped off of the $229 spent less than a year ago.
