Gable Vent 12" x 12"
The vent is of good quality and weight. The welded seams are very good, and the paint is thick. The 12" x 12" vent has an inner measurement of 10" x 10", which fits perfectly into the flat areas on the door of a shipping container. I used silicone adhesive for a watertight seal and double-tapped the vents for a permanent mount solution. The vents handled the force of the self-drilling screws very well; they did not bend or warp, and I did not drill pilot holes. It's a good quality product and a great value! 👍🏻

Sturdy vent with metal screen
The vent is made with a moderate gauge of metal so it is light, but not flimsy. The metal screen is a plus because aggressive insects will not chew through as they could with a plastic screen.The installation on the cut sheet advertising indicates to use a heavy construction adhesive for mounting and mentions no other attachment methods. It would be good for interior and decorative applications (as picture in the cut sheets) in an exterior installation, this may be a did short to keep some wildlife out. We have squirrels in our area and they are intuitive and determined enough to pull out vents. I ended up drilling holes in the face of the trim and purchasing color matching screws to attach it to the wall of our shed to keep the squirrels out.This is a good vent even though (depending on the intended use) it may need addition methods to secure it to the wall.

Attractive well made attic vent
This was installed by my contractor to repair a squirrel damaged plastic vent. This is a well made aluminum vent that should be a bit more resistant to critters while providing sufficient air flow. It is backed by a screen as well to keep insects out. The installer noted no issues as the instructions were easy to follow and the vent fit snugly with the provided hardware. For the cost these are well made and worth the difference between metal and plastic vents.
