It's an electrical box!
Got this for various projects, seems about the same as other electrical boxes I have been pulling out of this old house but the material is a little thinner, if that matters to you. Otherwise it has the knockout holes and should work fine.

Well made as expected
The electrical box arrived, on time, well packaged, and defect free. The box was ordered for an overhead lamp installation. The box was easy to install, knockouts easy to remove, and overall box was exactly what I would have expected. The box looks and functions as anticipated.
