Our damper on our fireplace was rusted out and we were looking for an alternative solution to paying someone to come install a new one. This acts as a chimney cap and damper. There is a chain that comes down and you can close or open. It’s easy to install and helps keep cold air out.

This product is not good and NON-REFUNDABLE!
I installed it. The metal pieces doesn't fit each other. I needed to go on the ladder every time I wanted to use my Chimney to open the damper manually. And the seller also doesn't want to give me a refund!!

Easy to install
Self installed this. Very easy to install and worked well to seal chimney. Do recommend tightening the cord up after using for a month as cord might slightly stretch.
