Dr. Martens Men's Orson Slip-On Loafer

This is my third pair. I've worn through two other pairs over hundreds of in-town and off-load miles and learned to love them. There's a really broad toe box and that Doc Marten spongey sole, so these are super comfortable. I normally wear US 11.5 and, with my low arches and narrow feet, the DM Size 11 (UK) / 12 (US) is maybe too large. My feet move a little inside the Orson and the heel rubs a little but somehow they still work. No blisters, no discomfort. They're also really sturdy, take a beating and then clean up easily.

This is my second pair of Orson Slip-On Loafers. I have the first pair in Black and this new one in Brown.They are, in my opinion, the Victorinix Swiss Army Knife of Shoes: Simple, Comfortable, Impeccable Quality and Materials, Efficient, Elegant, and Timelessly Beautiful ... all in one well-made package. Compared to other Doc's - these are also very light! If you want a pair of leather slip on shoes that can do double duty as a casual shoe and a dressier work shoe while maintaining an undercover athletic fit and no-hassle maintenance, you would be hard pressed to find a better value. I am picky about good products: and yet, I really love this shoe. It's fabulous.

When I started my last job I was getting a lot of pain in my calves, ankles, and knees despite having new (inexpensive) sneakers. After switching to Doc Martens I stopped having joint pain every night after work. I had forgotten how much good shoes help when you are on your feet all day. My last pair of Martens lasted about 7 years, most of which was walking all day for work. The insoles only last about a year and the soles were pretty worn by about year four but the leather and stitching was all still in good shape by the end of seven. The first day or two you have them, Martens feel like you have some kind of massager in your shoe after that they can be easy to take for granted (unless you have to walk around in a cheap shoe for a few hours). The orson loafers feel very wide in the toes and are tighter in the ankles and heel compared to most shoes I have owned but the tight heel and ankle seem to be how the shoe is intended to fit snugly while having a slip-on design. For as durable and comfortable as they are, Martens are absolutely worth the price.

Have yet to use but Looks nice n well made - typical of dr marten standards. Looks exactly like e pics n is very comfortable out of box!! No need to season!!But again quality has been deteriorating the last 2 decade n their shoes don't last as long as the eighties or nineties. My Chelsea now last only 2 years+, compared with 6 years they used to last. Think these are the problems outsourcing. Wasted cos it's such a strong heritage brand.Let's pray it doesn't die a silent death.

Great shoe. Don't think they make it anymore but if you can find them they are a good purchase.

Always like to wait to do the feed back, have worn these everyday now for three weeks. Its the only pair that I can remember in a long time not hurting my feet on the first few days of wearing, they are excellent shoes. The quality is built right in. I have issues with my feet and was very afraid of the pain I might go through working them in. To my surprise it has been an excellent experience, have always been a Red Wing shoe fan but when I could not find what I wanted I took a look at these. Very happy with them, I don't see how anyone could go wrong if you like the style and the comfort of a slip on. There is no doubt these are built to last so worth every penny in my opinion. Update..One year and four months later these shoes are still going strong and are really comfy now. Worn everday hardly any wear at all exceeded all expectations. Should have bought a second pair...

When I first saw these shoes in the store, I knew immediately that they would be comfortable, even though I did not realize at first, that the shoes are made by Dr. Marten ( a very comfortable brand). I pointed them out to my husband. His first impression was, "I'm not going to wear those ugly shoes!" So, I put my little foot into them, and found them to be very very comfortable, as I expected. So, he reluctantly tried them on and fell in love. They are his "new girlfriend". He loved them so much he bought the brown pair in the store, and went straight home and asked me to order him another pair in black, on Amazon because the store did not have his size in the black. He wears these shoes to work everyday, alternating between the black and the brown pair. Everyday he comes home from work, he comments on the comfort of the shoes. Dr. Marten knows how to make good comfortable shoes, and these are no exception. If you are going to buy these shoes, I suggest that you buy more than one pair because when the shoes wear out you wils be looking for a new pair and will probably be unable to find them.
