The blankets are light weight enough to use during the warm weather. I also use these blankets as a drape/cover up when I breastfeed in public. These are fairly soft. Love the colors, true to color in photos. Lightweight/breathable. Perfect size baby! My babies don't like to be swaddled so I can't speak to that aspect of these blankets.
