Best solvent acrylic welder, but highly volatile so must protect product in can from evaporation
Weld-on 4 is the best liquid solvent welder for acrylic. It works very quickly and easily reaches the entire surface of the weld. But much care must be taken to avoid runs and drips that will permanently mar the plastic's surface finish. It also evaporates extremely quickly, so the can must be kept tightly closed and opened for use for only the briefest time possible.I also strongly recommend NOT removing the inner seal necaise it exposes too much area to rapid evaporation. Instead, just poke a tiny hole in the seal, just large enough to insert the applicator needle (use a sharp punch or small nail). This will make the can last many times longer.

Depends on your use
This stuff was a little disappointing. It is so runny and it often wouldn't bond because it ran off a piece too fast to do any good. Then one bump of the can and I lost it all with a simple spill. Not the company's fault I am clumsy but it's something to be considered. Also consider if you have the time to hold the pieces together for a few minutes and how strong you want the bond to be.

Great for PLA and eSun PLA+ (3D printing filament)
I need to weld 3D printed parts together. Superglue is expensive, and it does not work with PLA+. Weld-on works great, and it is cheap.

Tested on overture PETG and it worked perfectly.
I wasn't sure if it would work on 3D printed PETG, but weldon's datasheets say it does. I tried it and it worked absolutely perfectly. Just know that it is extremely thin with a powerful wicking action, so it's easy to make a mess with it if your not careful. If it touches plastic anywhere it will leave a "melty" looking mark.I agree with others that you must take care with the evaporation. When I started this project I went to use a can of SC4 that I had from 2 years ago. I had only poked a nail hole in the inner seal, and had the cap tight the whole time. When I opened it for this project I found it to be completely empty. Not a single trace was left in there. Definitely don't store this in your living space...
