Midas touch
I was worried it might be a tacky look but the gold is subdued and actually looks great. Be aware that at nighttime it's mirror affect reverses so you can be seen in a lit room from the outside and it's more difficult to see out unless you're looking into a lit area. It noticeably reduces heat (couple of degrees in my case) and has a tint to it sufficient that on a overcast day it looks gloomier outside than it really is. The real joy for me is I have a bird feeder outside about a meter from the French doors I used this on and standing next to birds feeding is strange feeling. If you are doing large areas such as doors I strongly recommend two people, it's very thin and will stick to itself so you can find yourself in a right pickle with just one. Infact irrespective of area, if you can recruit an extra pair of hands, do. It will make for a better job. The upside of its thinness is it is very easy to trim of the excess with a craft knife. All in all thoroughly recommend. Great stuff, reasonable price, better security, more privacy and some unexpected benefits.

Does what it says.
Very good film protection. Very east to install once you got the hand of it. We cut it all to size before applying onto the windows. Made sure there was enough liquid to play around with the film to make it stick properly and used a soft plastic card to smooth out the edges, bubbles and remove the access water.

Harder to install than they let on.
Works great. I live opposite a foot bridge to a school so during the school runs I constantly had people looking straight down and in on me working. After installing the film, (which is alot harder than it looks, make sure to get the window soaking to and bare in mind that it sticks to itself like parcel tape.) I checked from the bridge and it’s just solid gold and that’s a north facing widow in shade. It does do the other way at night so keep that in mind. The photos show it at night from the same position but with the light switched on and off.

Good quality
Good quality. I put it on a couple of months ago so we'll see about the adhesive properties. Blocks out view well

Does make it cooler and a little darker inside.
Used to cool south facing porch. Can be tricky to install for those of us who aren't good with such fiddly tasks. If you know a good crafts person maybe ask them for assistance?? Recommend using a lot more soapy water than instructions seem to indicate to allow more positioning.Fumble fingers initially meant results not so good because of air/water bubbles. However these did clear when the weather was warm enough to heat the glass and with the aid of a fine needle to prick the bubbles that were not showing signs of quick evaporation.Tiny holes made are invisible enough now. Opted for gold in case easier to distinguish for local birds.Has been successful in cutting down heat to more manageable levels. Does also reduce light levels which is a trade off. Unknown if winter light reduction will be very significant. As expected provides more privacy when it's light outside and can't see who is outside at night if the internal light is turned on.Overall it's been a benefit so far.
