Versatile, expandable, lightweight and fun little device
As well as bringing cosplay to life, I can think of a few other uses for this sound effects module as well. The likely long-term home for this is in our son’s model railway set-up, where it can be used to trigger atmos sounds, but not before we’ve had a bit of fun using it in wearables first. It’s a versatile little device, and I’ve got a lot of positive things to say about it.It’s really simple to operate. When plugged into a PC it acts as a USB flash stick, with four pre-prepared folders. Just drop an MP3 into each one, eject it, and you can get started. There’s an 8Mb total storage limit, meaning it’s better for sharp spot effects, but that’s still enough room for some reasonably long sounds provided you’re happy to encode the MP3’s with some lower quality settings. Once you’ve plugged the buttons in, just press them, and get the sound! If you trigger a long sound and you want to stop it before the playback has finished, then just press the button again- nice and simple. You can even put multiple sound files into each folder, and they’ll play back in alphabetical order each time the button is pressed. The speaker is a little bit tinny, but it packs quite a volume punch. It will suit certain sound effects better than others. Higher-pitched bleeps and squeaks will be served quite nicely by the speaker, but richer sounds and music might come out sounding a little weak. Luckily, if you’re worried about the audio quality, there’s a nice simple solution- the speaker connects to the main device using a standard 3.5mm socket, so you can swap out the speaker provided in favour of something that sounds a bit richer, and choose your own pay-off between speaker size and speaker quality. It’s a nice option to have. There’s a volume control on the device itself, though it is a little bit fiddly as it’s recessed in, so it certainly won’t get changed accidentally- but it’s a marginal inconvenience when trying to deliberately set the volume to anything other than the maximum or the minimum settings. At first it looks like the device needs 3 AAA batteries which aren’t included, but there’s some good news there as well- the USB-C input socket, which is also the way to get MP3 files onto or off the device, can be used as a power socket too, so if you’re already carrying a USB powerbank for other reasons, or if you’re using it in a more fixed set-up, you can power it from any 5V USB source (even solar power!), and you can detach the AAA battery pack completely and leave it at home. The four trigger buttons only require a light touch, so you do need to give some thought about where to position them so that you don’t trigger them by accident. The length of the wire between the trigger buttons and the main device is a tiny bit ungenerous- it’s enough to have one in each finger of a glove, for example, but not a lot more. However the fittings look reasonably standard, and if I wanted to I imagine I could go to an electronics shop and source some buttons with longer cables if necessary. There are extra ports on the device that can be used to link LED lights and the control buttons for them, which are sold separately. That’s a great option to have, and being able to run both the lights and the sound from a single USB pack is potentially very useful for a lightweight but interactive system, and without needing to carry around multiple incompatible devices. It’s a nice touch. While there are a couple of extremely minor details I would change about this device if I could- like increasing the internal storage to more than 8Mb, or providing longer cables for each of the trigger buttons- I’m still extremely impressed with this for the current asking price of twenty quid. It’s really easy to use and a great way to bring a costume or a scene to life, and have a bit of fun.

Works as it should and programs easily via USB
This module works very well for our intended use with a prop radio. It has 4 push buttons that will trigger individual recordings. You simply connect it to your computer via USB-C cable, and it will appear as an external drive. Just copy/paste your files as needed. It also has connections for 4 LEDs and 4 switches to control them. Note that this module is limited to 8MB total. So the total size of your 4 recordings in MP3 format cannot exceed 8MB! I wasn't aware of this, but thanks to the great compression ratio of MP3, it's not a factor for me. Also note that this is powered by 3 AAA Batteries! I'm very happy with this module and will definitely buy more when I need them.

Excellent value
The media could not be loaded. Extremely satisfied. Download some MP3’s, plus in the device, and put the files into one of the 4 folders. Each button can have multiple files, just click again to play the next in sequence. If you click a different button it resets the sequence.Used some velcro to attach to an old glove, added a longer cable and louder speaker and I was cosplay ready in under 30 min.Takes a couple minutes to change sound files to different quotes or characters ( I currently have one button programmed with Michael Scott office quotes)

Loud, light and easy!
The media could not be loaded. This device is so easy to use, it’s light which helped a lot when attaching it to my helmet and extremely loud! I was worried I needed to buy a different speaker but no this one does the job perfectly - delivery was fast and it’s worth every cent.

Ideal for cosplay
I needed a very quick replacement for my previous sound glove that had died right before a convention. I ordered this one only because it had next day delivery. I was expecting it to be cheap and low quality, but instead I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the various parts. The soundboard and buttons are very light and low profile, and even though I replaced the speaker with my own, the speaker that comes with the set is quite clear and loud on its own. I also like that I can power the soundboard with an external battery bank, as that adds variety to where I can mount and power everything throughout my costume. I have used this one for over 40 hours of events so far, and it has not had any issues at all.
