Champion SportsUncoated Regular Density Foam Ball

Well made, holding up well
My hubby is a phys. ed teacher and he and his coworkers wanted to buy two foam balls that didn't have the plastic coating on them. They had balls like that and the plastic coating had started to rip and flake off, so they thought uncoated balls would work better. He bought this one and the 7" foam ball from Martin Sports. Both are exactly identical.. in fact, once they arrived we couldn't tell the difference between the two. Considering there was a $2 difference between the two I'd suggest just choosing the one that is cheaper. You literally can't tell the difference at all. They seem to be holding up well under the rigors of middle school kids but they are a tad expensive. Usually at the beginning of the year they can get these cheaper through their purchase orders but in a pinch, these fit the bill. Keep in mind these are not smooth, they are rough-ish foam because they are like the inside of a regular coated squishy ball, if that makes sense.

Awesome for Creating New Friends!
Used this for my 2020 Halloween creative candy delivery solution. Carved easier than upholstery foam (which I’ve used for costumes) with my electric meat-carving knife, so I could split it and make a hole for the end of the PVC candy chute. A red ribbon attached to the lower jaw allowed me to open her mouth when treats were on the way. 😊Anyway, a pretty sturdy foam ball, great for muppeting!

It’s as described except for the logo on it!
I bought this foam ball for a science experiment. It’s called “cannon ball”. You drop some isopropyl alcohol in a one end-closed pipe. Stuff the foam ball on the opposite side. Rotate the pipe to allow alcohol to vaporize inside the pipe. The pipe has a small hole on the side closer to the closed end. You fire it and it shoots the foam ball. I’ve tried these multiple times and it worked well. The ball is squishy and it comes back to original shape after squeezing and releasing. I loved them. They look exact the same as in the picture with out the brand logo in them. It’s just plain yellow.

Big, VERY light weight, but not good for bouncing off walls.
This ball is very good! It is very very light weight so it won't knock down any vases easily. This ball was to big for me, but that was my fault for not checking, not the makers. When I tried to return it, amazon gave my money back and let me keep the ball! This ball is not good for bouncing off walls, it does not bounce off far. I was looking for a ball to bounce off walls. This ball is worth it for hoops. Bouncing off walls, NO. And throwing, its fairly good. Very squishy and VERY VERY light weight!

Great for basement dodge ball!
Bought these for my boys to play dodge ball in the basement. They are soft so no one will get hurt when one of the teenage boys inevitably hits the other one in the face. Also soft enough I don't have to worry about anything getting broken. At the same time they have enough weight too them that my boys can throw them and they actually go where they are being thrown. I purchased 5 and plan on buying a few more.

CRUMBLES AND DID NOT SAY CHAMPION ON IT
It Crumbles and was not as shown. It did not have any wording on it. It did not say Champion on it. I ordered this for pilates knee squeezes. It arrived in a clear bag that had a cellophane like feel. There was no identification on the bag. There was no identification on the ball. When I took it out it felt like it was covered in sand. I had little granules all over my hands. I tried one exercise with it and I ended up with yellow granules wherever the ball touched my clothing. I tried brushing it , then rinsing it, but this made no difference. I still end up with granules on my hands and clothing. I know some people commented that it was good for playing with kids, and perhaps they received an actual Champion brand and it may have been better quality, but I would never give the one I received to a child. Those crumbles can't be healthy.... I am returning it. Even if it was marked down to only 50 cents, I wouldn't want it. I am too concerned about the potential toxins.

Used for making a microphone soundproofing system.
I bought this as an alternative to the Kaotica Eyeball thing that's like $200. Carved it out and it works the exact same.

Great for general crafts and hacking
Got this to make a microphone noise closure. It worked well after chopping off a lot of foam.
