Worked For My Ant Problem
Before I had these Bee Hive Feet Stands, I used ant poison to control ants that crawled up the hive legs and into the area where I feed sugar syrup to my bees. The bees couldn't reach the poison, but I still had to replenish it often in when the ants were most active. Now I use mineral oil in the Feet Stand reservoirs. That seems to be thin enough that the ants just sink in it. If you are going to go through process of using the Feet Stands, make sure you keep any vegetation around the hive cut down, so ants can't bypass the oil mote and climb up the stalks to get on and into your hive.

Strong and durable
The plastic these are made out of is super hard and strong. I can stand on one of these and it holds my weight. These are a great way to keep your beehives off the ground and give your bees a little bit more protection from insect predators like ants. I also like that these can be cleaned pretty easily so you can still practice good biosecurity.

Yep, these stands will keep your hive up off the ground and trap anything trying to crawl up them
These are great for keeping your hive up off the ground and protecting it from those creepy crawly bugs getting into the hive. Just remember to float a level of veggie oil on top of the water you put in to keep them at bay. The veggie oil will stop the water from evaporating.I dinged this 1 star because I really don't know if these little pieces of plastic can hold up a heavy hive of 2 deeps and a couple supers on it. That's a HEAVY hive and to have it sitting on just 4 pegs of plastic the jury is out. I'll update in the fall after the hives start to fill up with that glorious HONEY.Now Spring 2024. Update to follow in the Fall.

A disappointment.
While the idea of raising your hives and putting in place a water barrier to discourage ants and other crawling bugs to get inside is clever, I wouldn't trust these stands to support the weight of a hive with even one super. They are definitely NOT sturdy; they are made of thin plastic you can easily deform with your fingers. I don't think it's worth saying anything else about these except I do not recommend them.

Heck yeah!
I put a nuc on my back porch last year and was devastated when within a day they were murdered by big carpenter ants. I hates them, I do! All that work, wasted! So these hivestands are the big win. I put a mix of oil and water into the bases--ants can float across water, but not across canola oil, so, in your face, ants! They did take a bit to separate and I recommend putting the oil in the bases before you put your bottom board on!They're easy to set up and the base is held over the oil reservoirs. Not this year, ants!

works for me
Just started gathering things to be a beekeeper this year. Still need to get the hives and starter bees. I saw these feet for stands and they seemed like something the would help me be a successful beekeeper. I did think they were rollers, but now see they are just feet for the hives to keep off the ground.
