This company wants you to succeed as a gardener!
Im so impressed with this meter. I have plants everywhere and I have learned a whole lot especially about the nutrient content and ph of the different soils I have. Super easy to use. The reader tilts up so you can see it easily. It says to put in 4 inches so leave about 3 out. Also to wipe in between and not leave it in the soil. So when I wipe it, I am wiping out the dirt in the dimples at the end because I am guessing that is where the probe is getting the info and I don’t want to carry over something and get an incorrect reading.BIG BONUSES. In the manual you actually get a huge chart of what your plants need for PH. And it is very easy to read and not just black and white. They send a thoughtful piece of grit (see photo) and also offer a 1 year warranty. I have already bought another one of these for a family member. Definitely recommend.

It's ok. pH reading is inaccurate.
I like the light meter and the moisture level but the pH and nutrient readings all read the same. I tested it in my yard, potted plants, and a friend's house and the pH level always reads a 7.5. I tried the readings in dry soil, wet soil, and even sanded the probes with the included sandpaper. Then I tried using litmus paper tes and the soil pH was actually 6.

Unit Seems To Be Fairly Accurate
The media could not be loaded. This is a handy little meter. The video shows the unit outside, and moving from bright sunlight into shade. In my grow tent, it is always so important to keep tabs on the amount of light the plants are getting. The last thing you want, are spindly plants coming out of the grow tent because they didn't get enough light, and kept elongating to try to find more light. The instructions that came with the probe says do not use it in water to test for ph. Probably a good idea not to immerse the probe in water to see if you can get the meter to move when you get the unit. Use sunlight instead if you have to see it move.I live in an area of high ph soil - quite different than when I farmed in Central Wisconsin. I was hoping to show the difference in the meter between my regular ph soil, and the area where I grow blueberries. that like a low ph soil profile. But, the soil is so dry, I wasn't able to get the probe in good enough to show the berry soil ph. Sorry. The soil readings I took were from a pot that I am starting to grow canna lilies in. I like to get an early start on a few, so my hummers have an early source of nectar from them.So the meter seems to work fairly well - at least it will give you a bit of an idea of what your plant environment is like.

A Gardener’s Best Friend
This 4-in-1 Soil Tester promises to measure various aspects of plant health, including moisture, light, nutrients, and pH. Here's a breakdown of its potential benefits and drawbacks to help you decide if it's a helpful addition to your gardening routine.Pros:Multi-Functional: This meter offers a one-stop solution for measuring several plant health indicators, potentially simplifying plant care.Easy to Use: Generally, these meters involve inserting a probe into the soil for quick readings.Affordable: Soil testers are typically budget-friendly gardening tools.Cons:Limited Accuracy: Readings from these meters tend to be estimates and not highly precise. Relying solely on this meter for plant care decisions might not be the best approach.Soil Variability: Moisture, nutrients, and pH can vary within a single pot, making it crucial to take multiple readings in different locations for a more accurate understanding of your plant's needs.Fragile Probes: Some users report issues with the probes breaking easily, especially on stony or hard soil.Uncertain Long-Term Durability: Since user reviews are often limited for these testers, long-term durability might be questionable.

works better than my old one.
My old plant tester was beginning to show everything as 'dry', even when it wasn't. This is important when you have a lot of houesplants that are sensitive to having too much or too little water. I also like being able to test light levels where I have my plants. I already moved a couple, based on the measurements from this device.Seems to be well made.

A NEW GARDNER’S GO TO
The media could not be loaded. I had an old 3 way soil tester that didn’t show me how nutrient rich or poor my soil was. With food prices being so high I wanted to try and grow some food on my own. I had done a lot of research on Amazon before I found this amazing product. It’s like a gardeners Bible in the palm of your hands. It gives me a wealth of knowledge at my finger tips on how much light my plants are getting, how much moisture is in the soil, how my PH is doing (Alkaline or Acid) which is very important for gardening as different plants require different PH and last but not least how nutrient my soil is. This will definitely help me to fine tune growing vegetables that require more or less than what I guesstimated on my own.I also love the wide, bubbled clear screen. It’s easy to read and I tested all the features to make sure everything was working and even found it useful on discovering how different the PH and nutrient value was for the different types of compost, garden soil and worm casings that I was using. I now know which product to buy and not buy next time. So for me this will pay for itself simply by avoiding purchasing compost that doesn’t seem as beneficial as others.I am super pleased with this product and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for something to help guide them in their gardening journey. I would definitely buy this product again and again. Thank you!

Easy, but accurate?
Super easy to use. No batteries required. Question at least the moisture accuracy, but I don't have anything else to test with to compare to. We just had 24 solid hours of steady rain and, even in a shady spot that is damp to the eye, this still registers 4 out of 10 for moisture.
