I have been taking this water bottle every time I got on a trip so I don't have to bring my big water bottle taking so much space when is empty. Especially when going through security on the airports. What I didn't like that much though is the way you screw the lid in, you have to make sure multiple times that the lid is completely in before taking it with you or is going to spill water everywhere, is hard to tight the lid when the water bottle is pretty soft. The water tastes fine, I thought it was going to have a funny flavor but no, it was ok. To clean it up, I had to pour some white vinegar with some water and leave it over night, I wish I can use the dish sponge but no, is not possible.

Going outdoors or into the urban jungle, I always struggled with adding space for a bottle in my backpack, especially when they don't have designated side pockets for that. Now this is a cool idea! I had my doubts but it actually works. it easily unpacks and then packs into a super compact cube that can fit in small spaces. the design is thoughtful to include two opening sizes (for drinking, for pouring and cleaning). The style is modern with 6 elegant different colors offered. One thing i had a concern about was smell and aftertaste. I had a bad experience before with a plastic bottle that supposedly didn't have this issue, but it did. This, however, comes in silicone which is safer and more resistant to interacting with your liquids. I followed the recommended and unusual initial cleaning (As explained in the extremely small instruction "manual", I literally needed a magnifier to read it), which is to let some hot red or green tea soak in it for an hour. And I must say, it works. No smell or taste at all! and since the material is silicone it should be convenient to clean it in the dishwasher as well. My only two concerns are: 1. The durability of the (thinner) folding lines, since this will be folded and unfolded frequently. Will they hold? only time will tell. 2. the two supplied bands that should help wrap and lock the bottle once folded - How long will these also last? And, they are not tied, or at least designed in a way that could be tied to the bottle, in a way not to lose them - and I could see this easily happening, but i will try to be careful. May be including an extra set of them could have been even useful. I use a collapsible bottle in my backpack for mountain biking to refill my bike mounted bottle when empty (I do not like water bladders in my pack).The bottle I have been using is rubberized, cylindrical and rolls to collapse but will not stand up on its own and is wiggly to fill and deal with.This rectangle designed bottle not only stands on its own -empty or filled -but also collapses smaller than my current bottle)I love the way it accordion collapses to such a small size and holds just over 20 ounces.This bottle rides very nicely in my small backpack and when empty takes up very little room which is good because that is about the time I start peeling clothes and need to stow them.The top is easy to remove for filling and the drinking top work well too.After testing the bottle by loading it in my pack upside down it did not leak, not even a drop.The bottle comes with an attached rubber band (with an extra too) to hold it in place while collapsed that keeps it compressed nicely.There is a slight rubbery smell to it as described on an attached information card which has a couple methods to remove the smell. I filled it with boiling water and let it sit for a bit then washed it and let it dry and I can't detect the smell anymore and even out of the box I did not find it a deal breaker.This bottle is fun and works wonderfully for my purpose but I think it would be great for any portable water needs, especially where size is a consideration.

These bottles get gross quickly. Because of the narrow neck, they are impossible to clean well. Ultimately I hate using them.This bottle has been a happy discovery. It collapses quickly and easily. It pops up instantly. The wide mouth makes the bottle easy to fill and to clean. Best of all, I can clean it - inside and out. The bottle looks good. I really like the concept of this drink bottle. I travel 4-5 days a week, and the way the bottle collapses works perfect for stowing in my bag without taking much space. It is easy to wash, and the lids don't leak at all. It holds just over 20 ounces, and the neck is large enough to fit regular sized ice cubes into without a hassle. I love that I'm not adding to the plastic bottles in landfills problem anymore, so it's a plus for the environment too. I took away one star because when it's full of liquid, it's a little flimsy. You need to pay attention to how you pick it up for a drink because it wants to squish in your hand and spill water down your chin. That said, I'll get one of these for everyone in the family because it really is a great bottle.

This is perfect for traveling or short hikes to store water or your favorite sport + hydration drink.They recommend boiling it right off the bat if you're sensitive to the smell. I haven't done that and it's fine with me. The shade of blue is nice, dark blue, I quite like it! I also got the pink one for my wife. She likes it, too!I've used this a few times and it hasn't leaked so far! I'm loving it. It can hold around 500mL. The straps on the side also help fold it to a compact size for transport. Though note that it's made of a certain silicone or compound that makes me think of other items I've had that tend to snap if you don't use it a long time or excessively use it over time. But that's just a possibility that hasn't happened yet.Oh it's nice that the mouth is wide enough to easily put liquid inside. Minor suggestion is to have a strap to keep the cap on the neck of the bottle as it's a lost cap waiting to happen. Lol. Plus it could have a slot to add a wrist strap, but I think I can make do with the anchor loop for the strap.

I got this to use for an upcoming family trip in the summer. We're hoping to pack light, but as a family of 5, lugging sufficient water is always a bulky and heavy task. I saw this collapsible water bottle and thought it would be a good way to hydrate on the go. As long as we can locate a water fountain or refill station, we don't have to lug bulky bottles with us wherever we go.The pros of this bottle is definitely its portability and weight (or lack thereof).The cons would be that it can be finicky to drink out of a soft-sided bottle. I found it precarious to hold it one-handed like I do with conventional bottles and often opted to use 2 hands to hold the bottle while drinking. I also wished that the screw-on lid was attached to the bottle to minimize risk of dropping it on the floor or losing it altogether.The bottle also has a bit of a smell to it upon first use. The packaging has a tag that gives multiple suggestions on how to remove the smell. I have only tried the boiling method so far, and while it has minimized the odd smell/flavour, I can still taste it. My husband doesn't seem to be bothered by it, but I am more sensitive to odd smells.The product listing also claims that this can hold cold or hot liquids. While this is made of silicone and certainly CAN hold liquids of varying temperatures, I would advise against putting anything hot in it as it will scald your hand when you try to handle the bottle and the bottle will expand like a balloon as the hot liquid heats up any trapped air inside the closed bottle. Slightly warm or lukewarm liquid may be okay, but do not store hot liquids in this.All in all, this will work well enough for the purposes of our trip and other outings where we want to travel light. That being said, this wouldn't be my go-to bottle for everyday use.
