Slow but perfect
Got this laptop so I could do digital modes with my ham radios. I primarily use these when out in the woods or remot locations. I can charge streight off of 12v. works good with my logging software, net time GPS software and wsjt-x. It's slow, definitely not a powerhouse but for the price and my application it works great. Can't beat the price, if I kill it I wouldn't be that worried.

I own three of these now
I have the Evolve laptop running both Linux and Windows. These work well and have a good keyboard and excellent battery life.

Touchpad died, manufacturer non responsive
Without explanation or any way to fix it, the touchpad simply stopped working.Contacted the manufacturer because the product is under warranty, and received no response whatsoever.

Newer version without LTE slot and 12v connector
Bought this for use with off-grid HAM radio use. so far, operation has been just fine. the trackpad is a little weird to use, a little sensitive and the mouse clicks are a bit to get used to but nothing to complain about at the price point. startup and running programs i haven't run into too much lag, ive been streaming youtube from it, surfing the web and running APRS/JS8call with no issues. As long as youre not doing anything CPU heavy, i dont think you will have many issues.battery life has been stellar! I havent put it through a huge amount of testing yet, but I have been messing around on it for few hours all last night and this morning and have only used about 20% battery life.My only warning is that this is a newer version that does not have the 12v power barrel connector that everyone has featured online. Its charged through a new USB-C charge port which, to my knowledge requires communication between the USB-C port and the charger because of the power delivery standard. in other words, its not as simple as adding Anderson power poles to the plug. hooking up a 12v battery and charging. I plan on getting around this by creating a charging cable using 12 automotive cigarette adapters but i have yet to get those parts and test it out.11/24/24 Edit: made a power adapter with a USB-C PD cig adapter into some Anderson power poles and have successfully ran this off my 12v batteries. If you plan on doing this just make sure it’s a “USB-C PD adapter. the PD stands for Power Delivery and is a specific “smart” charging protocol that will vary Voltage/Amps.

Windows 10 doesn't install
The first one I bought hod no issues. Upgraded to windows 11on it's own. Still works great so I purchased another one. The second one also came with windows 10. After booting it up it went through the normal setup. I entered my email on the setup screen and it said Microsoft would send an email to verify I'm human. Never got the email because Microsoft doesn't support windows 10 anymore. I loaded it with windows 11. Now Microsoft a ants me to buy a license to activate it. Not cool. Otherwise it's still a great little machine.

No 12v charging
Given 3 stars due to the older versions. The older versions were perfect: cheap and runs off 12v so I could do portable ham radio operations. The new one? NOPE! USB-C. Charging it with USB-C introduces noise, and makes it not as portable. If it wasn't USB-C and is able to charge via 12v directly, this would be five stars. So, no more purchases of this from me. They took what was perfect and ruined it. As the saying goes: if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Thankfully, I got several older ones stored for back-up. I won't be buying anymore until they go back to 12v instead of USB-C or have an option of 12v vs USB-C.

Great little cheap Laptop for simple tasks
This is a full windows laptop, but really small. (Almost too small for my big hands, but I make it work.) For single areas of activity, all dealing with the same subject or subject matter, it is better than a hand written notebook for writing, studying, or even small control tasks, you can't beat it as a platform.

Runs on 12v
I am using this computer for portable ham radio operations. It's hard to find a laptop that will run on 12vdc without a bulky, noisy (rfi) power supply. This laptop will the bill. And it's cheap! I've only had for a week, but so far it's running all of the applications I need flawlessly.
