Seems well built but it definitely doesn't flow enough for a 398cc engine i was trying to use it on.

This muffler requires a lot of modification to work on the generator that they are selling it for. Bolt holes don’t line up at all, It is Louder than the old stock muffler.

The muffler is about 3/16 " shorter than the original. The side bracket on the muffler does not reach the proper location for the bracket. I had to use some slotted angle steel to fabricate a different bracket to secure the side of the muffler to the body of the generator. My generator is a Predator Model 68530.

During a recent storm, we lost power for over a week and had to run our generator constantly. I got this muffler to hopefully quiet the noise from the generator. I did not want to mount the muffler directly to the generator, instead I wanted to mount it in series with the existing muffler. The muffler came with a flange gasket and mounting nuts. I purchased a floor flange, flexible tubing and fittings and built a 6’ stand, then mounted the second muffler on top. By doing this, it allowed me to reduce both the heat and noise from the generator and direct the exhaust noise and fumes away from the house. Before connecting the muffler, I registered 89 decibels on my dB meter from 20’ away. After installing the additional muffler, the reading went down to 77 decibels.
