My 21-month-old is big for his age, more the size of a 2.5-3 year old at approx 32lbs and 36” tall. I ordered a 3T hoping it would be a teeny bit big on him, to last the winter. It fits perfectly, meaning it’ll be too small within a month or 2. Wish I would’ve gone with a 4T!

I’ve been getting my son these Columbia fleece jackets ever since he was in size 3-6M, and every next size up from there. He has a long torso, but short arms. These have always fit really well, and if the sleeves are too long I just roll them up. Even if it’s a size too big, it doesn’t look too sloppy. They have a nice fitted/structured look.He’s currently 2 (27 months), 30 lbs, and wears 3T in most brands like Carter’s & Old Navy. The 3T fits him perfectly with plenty of room to grow and layer over the next few colder months. In fact, it should fit him for the next year almost!Highly recommend these jackets for infants & toddlers! Obviously they’re not waterproof, but in a light sprinkle he stays dry. Perfect if you live in the Pacific Northwest like us!EDIT: I keep confusing his black fleece with an older one he has in charcoal grey. The black is not SUPER deep black… as you can see in the pic I included against a (faded) black t-shirt.Hope this helps. ☺️

The Columbia fleece jacket is a great staple for any toddler. It’s warm and soft. Fits easily when in car seat. Ordered a 3t, but this particular item seemed to run on the small side. May need to size up.
