Good light shame about the not so discreet packing

I bought two of these.....The tubes are very well packaged, so no breakages when in transit.Not too heavy, and doesn't give off too much heat.You have 4 lighting options. OFF, 2,4,and 6 lamps.

The goods were sent in a timely manner. I found this item perfect and of really better quality than expected.I shall be using this company again.

The plug was damaged on arrival. I have had to cut the cord and rewire to a new plug witch makes it slightly unsafe when I'm watering I now have to be careful!The wattage is wrong and I got 8x 42watt tubes witch means my electric bill has rocketed.The light itself is bulky. If I were to extend and purchase another light I'd go for the smaller, more efficient, but twice as expensive, l.e.d's.Though it does do the job and I have a cool room set up with lots of indoor blueberries, salads, strawberries, and seedlings

U P D A T E -I was promised a replacement cable, as part of making good on two damaged items, the company have let me down and I would not trust their promises. Two lamps were shipped both damaged. I agreed a small discount on the understanding they would provide a replacement cable as the one shipped was smashed in transit. The lamp is dangerous as the cable is unsafe and with plants there is always water.REVIEWThis light is very powerful. I bought it to grow hydroponic Lettuce/Greens/herbs and the T5 lamps are good for vegetative growth.The company poorly packages the product and two out of two lamps were severely damaged. I needed to get on and accepted the second damaged light, but they have (so far) failed to send a replacement cable and plug to replace the one smashed in transit.The support cable that you connect your light to the ceiling is poorly designed and does not allow adjustment, it also takes up far too much head-space. A simple connection on each corner or an adjustable alternative would make this unit a better choice of lamp.My seedlings are all under this lamp and I believe they will do well.Happy growing...

Great light

Received today, Item came slightly damaged, as you can see in the pics where its damaged. All bulbs working.

Die Lampe eignet sich sehr gut als Pflanzenlicht für Winterquartiere von frostempfindlichen Pflanzen und ist insofern funktionsgerecht. Allerdings hat der Artikel zwei Mängel: zum Einen ist der Knickschutz des Netzkabels in das Gehäuse gebrochen und zum Anderen befand sich am Netzkabel ein britischer Stecker Typ BS 1353. In der Produktbeschreibung wird nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass das Gerät sich deshalb gar nicht in Deutschland benutzen lässt! Da es aber als Warehouseprodukt nur die Hälfte gekostet hat, habe ich selbst den Stecker umgebaut und den Knickschutz erneuert. Beim praktischen Betrieb muss man noch berücksichtigen, dass die Verlustwärme spürbar ist, d.h. die Leuchte trägt zur Erwärmung der Raumluft bei.

I can't say if it works good or bad as it ships with a British powerplug.Nowhere in description or pictures does it say so.I'd avoid this item if you aren't using British plugs.
