Just what I was expecting, all went well

Most of the tabs on my OEM grille had broken off. I noticed it was loose one day when closing the hood. I was shocked to see how many tabs were broken.My old grille was chrome. The chrome had started to wrinkle in spots. Looked bad anyway.I was going to buy OEM but decided to go with this Black grille instead. Wow was I surprised how much better it looks than chrome. Great fit and finish. The plastic seems more flexible than the oem grille. Perhaps the old was brittle from the sun.Doesn't come with an emblem. The emblem I could only get oem but I found a dealer selling them on Amazon. All of the aftermarket emblems had bad reviews or didn't fit. OEM emblem was about $35.00! Dealer wanted almost $50! Emblem needs special adhesive too. Get the 3M emblem adhesive on Amazon!Huge improvement to my older truck. Looks great again.

It really is as simple as the title says. This grille fit my 98 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 (beat up old work truck) just fine (there is a disclaimer on the part saying it should fit but no guarantees) It does "fit" but here's the problems. Its a one piece molded grille, not 2 piece like the original and it looks like a cheap plastic part.. Maybe ok at this price-point. But this grille was also not formed correctly. It's too flat for where it mounts, so you kind of mold it into shape when tightening the hardware. Sketchy. The upper mounting studs also do not have the proper orientation. And there are mold imperfections and warps in the outer finish, right where you can see them. This grill looks ok when you are 10 feet away but overall, it is not well made and doesn't look great close up. I could paint it, but the warps would show just as bad and body working this plastic, probably wont turn out well. Its meh at best.

thought i was going to have to make and fix some mounting pieces just to install but for the most part the tabs and holes worked excellent. the piece fir my 97 ram 1500 with not issues.

Arrived on time. Perfect fit for my 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport. The grill does come with 6 screw type bolts attached along the top of the grill. But no nuts to attach the grill to the truck. I went to the hardware store they matched up the screw/bolt sizes. You will also need 4 bolts, nuts and washers for the side part of the grill to attach to the truck. Altogether....... 10 nuts, 4 bolts, 10 washers ......Total: 4 dollars. I guess you can use the old nuts and bolts but mine were either missing or too rusted. Overall great buy. My truck looks alot better. Before i put on the new grill, it looked as if someone punch my truck in the mouth and it was missing a tooth.

I got mine for cheaper than it’s listen now so I won’t complain too much but it was in fact broken when it arrived. I will try to fix it and report back. No hardware but that was expected.

Surprisingly inexpensive, was not expecting much but this grille served my needs perfectly. The old grille (1996 Dodge Ram 2500) finally broke loose from the last two plastic fittings holding it on . This new one fit perfectly, and I was able to remove the old Dodge Ram emblem and glue it into place on the new one. Only wish I could have found a chrome grille, but honestly the black does not look bad.

5 stars if it didn’t need Extra work. Great price but it needed to be heated up to follow the curve of a 2001 1500 Laramie Quad cab. I used scalding hot water in a bathtub and weights. The photo with the blue hood was before bending. For the price and small effort, this is a solid replacement. Do expect to work the shape and smooth the edges.
