The Gracious Gourmet Balsamic Caramelized Onion Spread, 8 Ounce (Pack of 2)

I bought this because I love eating onions also because I have been trying to find the onion jam I tried a few years back. Well the flavor of this onion spread is delicious. Spread over grilled chicken breast or turkey meatballs. Will definitely buy again.

I buy this all the time. Perfect for sandwiches and hamburger. However, I use it primarily on Brussel Sprouts

This was good but for me, it was lacking in caramelized onions. I made a spread with cheese (I spread mine thinly on pizza crusts and added a lot of gruyere cheese and baked it). It was a little too spicy (not "hot" spicy, but chutney-esque), which I wan't the biggest fan of. It is a pretty jar and a very good flavor, and because it has so many different uses for cooking with meats, I gave it to my sister, who can cook.

Speaking of flavor. The Balsamic 4 onion was good but not great. I love the earthy complexity of Balsamic but I could not find that richness in this jar. There may have been four onions, but in the mix of sweet and savory there was not much in the way of a complex onion flavor. This was a good spread for some cheeses and I used it with other seasoning to make rubs for chicken pork and lamb. In case this is not clear, I liked the Balsamic 4 Onion well enough. But that the flavors did not star the flavors on the label.The star was the Spiced Sour Cherry. From first taste to last, this jar delivered exactly what the label promised. The balance of sweet and sour, favored sour making this an adult spread. Spiced Sour Cherry will stand up to strong flavors in cheese. It works very well with lamb and turkey. A little dab from this jar on food any bland food instantly improves that recipe.

very costlyI had never tried any thing like these before so when I did I was pleasantly pleased. I love to cook and I have put them into my pasta sauce and it cuts up the acid in normal sauce. I would highly recommend to try this product isn't that expensive.
