This rock speaker delivers great sound quality for outdoors. In the winter, we use it to play Holiday music and synchronize with our Christmas lights show. In the summer, it is a useful backyard speaker for hanging out. The Bluetooth pairing works really well, better than expecting since that is often an area that speakers struggle with. The solar charging in the winter isn’t great but mostly because of inconsistent sunlight, not because of the solar charger. USB-C works really well if solar is a problem. I can easily recommend this speaker.

This speaker is very easy to use. It took a couple seconds to turn on, and pair my iPhone with Bluetooth. The QR code in the box points to a trouble-free setup video.The audio is great! The speaker produces warm bass and medium treble which makes the vocals and instruments sound clear.The only drawback for me is that it’s not AirPlay compatible and I wish there was a cover of sorts to hide the solar panel when not charging in the sun so it’s aesthetically pleasing.Overall, I recommend the purchase. It’s perfect for the elements, easy to use, sounds wonderful and looks great in the yard.

nice product. It arrived like new. Easy to use. The solar panel is large enough and good for my use. I only use it once for a few minutes -- the battery holds the charge -- when I'm working on the backyard in very low volume level. I'd suggest limited your use as this will be super annoying for your neighbours if your backyard is not large enough or you place it too close to the border line.

DesignFirst, the speaker was bigger than I thought. Granted I didn’t read the specs, but when it’s on your patio it’s less of a rock and more of a small boulder, which might lead people to wonder what a small boulder is doing on your patio. However, the size contributes to a bigger sound, which is the tradeoff.The “rock camouflage” is passable, but it’s kind of obvious that it’s not a rock. In other words, is it that much better than just a grey box? Not really. But it isn’t an eyesore, just looks a little weird.SoundThe sound is definitely the highlight. While it’s obviously not the best speaker in the world (ie, not great bass), it is LOUD and really fills a space. If you had two, you’d really be in business. I tested with with Jack White No Name album and was waiting for my neighbors to start complaining.Certainly it’s an advantage that you can just leave it outside and not worry about it, and will self charge via solar panels (I didn’t get a chance to really test that.) In short, I would recommend these to a homeowner with an enough property that you won’t bug the neighbors; if you live in an apartment or city environment you might consider a smaller speaker.I will also add this speaker has great bluetooth range. I was hundred of feet away from it, and it was still reading my phone/spotify. This is a huge plus for entertaining when we are running around after kids, grabbing stuff etc.

Bought 2 of them. Had no problem syncing them up, music sounded clear and volume was good..

Purchased this speaker in mid July and worked well; we kept the speaker under a covered area of our backyard to protect it from rain. Within two months, the speaker would not turn on. We charged it for several hours and followed the troubleshooting steps Vitriola/Amazon list, and nothing worked. The company was unresponsive when I called to seek to use the warranty for a replacement speaker or a refund. During the company’s hours of operations, no one answers the phone - calls go to voicemail and they don’t bother to return messages. After 4 weeks of trying to get in touch with them, had to seek Amazon’s help; Amazon agreed to let us return the speaker to Amazon even though it was outside of the 30 day free return period, because they recognized the company was being unresponsive (Amazon rep also tried calling). Unfortunately, Amazon docked us $15 which is typically done when they accept a return outside of the 30 day return period, but at least we got rid of this poorly made speaker (with equally poor customer service). Buyer beware - seek other outdoor speakers; this one looks nice, but what good is that if it won’t work?

Bought the speaker on July 28, 2024. Was placed in a location that was flat and allowed for water runoff with access to sunlight for the solar charging feature. Four months later it will not charge either thru the solar panel or if plugged into the USB. Last time it did turn on, if refused to turn off and kept making a strange beeping sound. Now it will not turn on at all because it has lost its charge. Disappointed. While it worked it was great. Sound quality awesome. But three months of use for $100 no thanks. Emailed support, no reply. Called and stayed on hold until electronic told me they are too busy to get to me and leave a voicemail.Update - reached out to company again. This time directly via their website. They were surprised at the lack of response. They sent me a completely new unit. Paid for shipping. Had it two days later. I think the issue I had reaching them was less to do with the company and more to do with the Amazon app. Fair is fair that I update this review and give them a better rating.
