I like to lay on top of this for back support. This blanket works well.

My 5 and 9 year old sleep so good with these blankets. The 5 year old has the smaller size and the 9 year old has the bigger. Definitely not too heavy and they are so soft. The kids even request to travel with them. I wish this brand made adult sizes because I'd definitely order!

I got this for myself, an adult. I am autistic and use weighted blankets paired with compression sheets for deep pressure when sleeping and resting. Sometimes I don't want the heavier blankets if I'm sitting in front of the telly or reading. It can be hard to shift around for comfort in my joints when sitting for long periods of time. This is perfect for those times I want to sit around not on my bed, but still under some pressure.The material is cozy and soft, very enjoyable. The stitching is appropriately strong for the pressure of weighted fill within the blanket. It is, of course, sized more for children, but is plenty big enough for a smallish to average adult like me. The weight is just right for casual use for an adult or use for sleeping in a child's bed.Not machine washable. Spot clean it. The weight will unbalance your washer drum, and possibly even break it. No laundromat will let you wash it in their machines, either. If using on a child's bed, be aware of any of that child's propensity to bed wetting or being a little dirty before headed to bed.

It is very soft and well made. It comes in a nice bag making it very giftable. Weighted blankets are nice as it gives the person the feeling of being hugged. As long as the material is approved by your child these are great for Autistic kids. They do have a calming effect.

This is just right. It is a good size, and has a fuzzy side and a regular side. It's perfect for my use- letting my students use it in the classroom- because some kids lover the soft texture against them, but for the kids who don't like that sensation, the other side can go against their skin. I'd highly recommend this blanket!
