Beautiful, Bright, Superior Picture Quality & Contrast - OLED Can't Compare
The factory settings on this television are surprisingly good, but if you're a techie, you'll find the handles that you want for fine tuning. The sound is also surprisingly good. If you use the built-in equalizer, you can get close to what you'd expect from decent small bookshelf speakers. I've often wondered why dim, burn-in and fade vulnerable OLEDs are so highly touted. A high contrast range on a dim picture means that much of the content in a dark scene is lost. With a proper local dimming setting, the blacks on this television look dead black, and the image can be made bright enough for any viewing environment. The remote could use a few more dedicated buttons, but it uses RF; so there's no pointing. The TV also works with older Sony infra-red remotes and infra-red universal remotes. The faint, narrow vignette at the edge of the picture (shown in another positive review) isn't really noticeable in normal viewing. Since perfection isn't an option, I'll take this this one as a close second.

Brilliant and fantastic
I have now owned this TV for about 6 months with heavy near daily use. I have the 85” size and it is absolutely fantastic. The picture quality is great and it is very bright, and despite being in a very sunny room, I never feel that it is dim. Details in dark scenes and shadows are also great. I use it in the professional mode and it is endlessly customizable. I have nothing negative to say about this TV. It is not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Incredible product
This TV is fantastic! I recommend it if you like watching a lot of movies and are happy to use physical media. This TV made my streaming look better, but the 4k discs are where it really shines. I was slightly disappointed that the display wasn't as dramatic at home as it had been in the store. The TV's in the stores are playing specifically crafted videos that highlight whatever the new TV's do best. Most content won't be as incredible as the store footage. Fast action, conversations in dark rooms-- I can't tell a difference from my old TV. Where this one really shines is with long range, high detail wilderness shots. So, nature documentaries look great. Or movies with epic settings, like Legends of the Fall, Mad Max: Fury Road, or even The Matrix. The color is much better, the dynamic range of light to dark is fantastic, the resolution is great. My PS5 pro games look incredible on it. Even older movies transferred over to 4k can pop with new details. I was surprised to see the weave of the clothes the actors were wearing in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I love the new controller; the buttons light up whenever you move it. The packaging it came in was impressive! No danger of damage while shipping. I saved all of it for when I have to move. I can't imagine a better packing system. Anyway, Sony did a great job. There's a bunch of videos on YouTube to help you calibrate it.

Upgraded from LG G1 to Bravia 9
This is peak LED. It's so close to my previous OLED in terms of contrast and black levels so as to be imperceptible in normal viewing. However the brightness ups the game to another level. Retina burn inducing if you want or need it while maintaining impeccable colour accuracy.Off axis side angle viewing is still stellar despite what Rtings et al will say with their stats.I feel the sound requires an honorable mention as it has deep bass and ultra clear voices. The only downside is weight. This thing weighs a ton and at 75 inches basically needed 3 people to set it up while ensuring it was handled with care.My amazon delivery team were amazing. Kudos to them.Sony knocked it out the ballpark this year with the Bravia 9.You do not need to spend more on an A95L.

Very good TV
The color on the new living room TV is excellent. 65” Arrived safely with no damage or even a rip in the box. Highly recommend especially in a bright room.

Doesn't work unless you bend over for Google.
Update: Bought a sound system. These idiots didn't build an optical output port onto to TV so outbound sound doesn't work on a physical optical output. They didn't even include an adapter on a flagship tv??? Also, the tv doesn't detect an input signal to wake, even when the setting is active. My gaming monitors are WAY better than this overpriced POS.One of the back television bolts came stripped. I'm forced to accept Google Terms of Service to be able to use my property that I've already purchased? This should be done prior to point of sale. Television will not work when I try to back out of these terms. I read that Sony forces ads on its users so I'm only trying to use the HDMI ports which doesn't work until these forced terms are accepted. I'm trying to set up basic TV, NOT Google TV. Trash.
