This cedar bird feeder is beautiful! Red cedar is known to stand up to weather, so this feeder should last many years. It is hexagonal in shape so there are 6 feeding stations instead of 4. The clear panels are plastic and I hope they don't get brittle from UV rays - that's a problem I've had with other feeders. They could be replaced if necessary.The seed comes out nicely without overflowing onto the ground. The birds will sling seed everywhere, however, so make sure you put the feeder in a location where you don't mind sprouting seeds.The roof lifts off for filling, with a coated wire cable that runs from the base up through the top of the roof. I think it's when you lift the roof off that you truly get a feel for the quality of construction and the beaury of the design.It will hold 3 pounds of bird seed, and I recommend that you get a songbird blend with minimal millet to keep sprouting seeds to a minimum.Regarding the price, while it seems that $36.99 is on the steep side, go to your local farm store and you'll find that this really is a good deal.

This is a really lovely cedar construction bird feeder, and for the most part, it's really well done - the hanger is a sturdy wire construction that goes all the way through the base, the walls are appropriate thickness plexiglass material, and the base has holes thoughtfully drilled through to allow for water drainage.That all having been said, there are two issues I've experienced in only the first week of use, and I've deducted one half star for each: 1-the wooden ball that the hanger runs through that decorates the top roof of the feeder is not well-affixed and came off within the first few days of use; 2-the roof piece of the feeder has an outdent that fits inside the walls of the feeder, and this is a nice design feature, however it does not extend out enough to keep the rest of the feeder centered securely, and so anytime a large bird or squirrel rests on the base of the feeder, it tilts the feeder to one side and if the feeder is filled halfway or more, the contents shift enough to then separate the lid from the walls and out spills the bird food. This lack of stability also means you cannot easily fill the feeder while it's hanging unless you have help to stabilize it - if you attempt to raise the lid and pour in bird food, the food will cause the feeder to tilt and eventually you will find the food spilling out in the same way. This means I have to take the feeder down, remove the lid, fill the feeder, replace the lid, and re-hang the feeder, each and every time I want to refill it.With a couple of minor modifications, these issues are relatively easily overcome - some glue or longer nails to attach the ball on the top, and a few dowels inserted into the top to help locate and better center and secure the top within the walls or a few 90* brackets screwed to the bottom of the roof portion to do the same would go a long way - but it should not be up to the consumer to have to improve the design of the product to make it look and function properly - these are easy minor improvements that would significantly improve the quality and longevity of the product.

Reviewing Liawm Wooden Bird Feeder for Outdoors Hanging, This is an adorable bird feeder. I admit, it’s much smaller than I was expecting it to be, but it is high quality. It holds a surprising amount of seed and turned out to be the perfect size because it would be too heavy if it was any bigger. I’d need to get a bigger holder for it.It smells like cedar! I love the way it smells, but I don’t think the birds care about that. It has a lip all the way around the bottom, so the seed doesn’t spill out. The hanger goes through the roof, down the middle, to the bottom of the feeder so there’s less chance of it pulling out. The roof extends beyond the seed tray on the bottom, helping to keep the seeds dry. It is not squirrel-proof, but I wasn’t expecting it to be. Overall, this is a great birdhouse that is loved by the birds and me alike. There was no assembly either. It is ready to go right out of the box.

We recently set out a few bird feeders in our yard, including this feeder. So far, it's proven to be a hit, especially with smaller birds like gold finches.Our yard has a mix of larger and smaller birds, and the larger birds often push the small ones away from other feeders. This feeder has narrow ledges that are too small for larger birds, thus the smaller birds have a safe place to land and enjoy a quick meal.The feeder includes steel wire with a hanging loop. You will need a hook or similar to hang it from a tree branch, otherwise a shepherd's hook would do nicely. I love the convenience of refilling this feeder. Simply lift up the cap and pour more seed in. The cap fits snugly over the sides of the feeder. Easy!We're very happy to see the mix of birds in our yard, especially the smaller ones that flock to this feeder.

I wanted this Liawm Wooden Bird Feeder so I can feed the birds in my area. This Bird Feeder is made completely out of Cedar Wood. It is so beautiful. Nicely built and you can see the wonderful craftmanship put into make this feeder. Such detail to it. The lid come off to fill the feeder, very easy. Has a nice Lanyard for easy hanging. Very nice size and can hold a lot of bird seed. The Feeder is a natural wood color and if you wanted I suppose you could paint it, but the natural look of it is very pretty.I decided to hang my feeder on a Sheppard's Hook right next to my bird bath I put out. Looks great in the front yard, that's where I see the birds the most. With the lanyard, the feeder hung a little lower than I was wanting, so I just wrapped the lanyard around the hook a few times.I believe the price is great for this Bird Feeder. I Highly Recommend It. Could even make a nice gift for someone who is hard to get things for.

The birds love it. Easy to fill and clean. Very well made and sturdy. I'm sure to enjoy this for years to come.This would make a great gift for anyone.
