I bought this to identify any potential chihuahua piddle spots in our carpet. It has also been majorly helpful in identifying skin bacterial and fungal issues. My husband had an itchy break outs on his chest and face and it turned out to be an overgrowth of acne bacteria. Benzoyl peroxide wash is helping. This flashlight has pointed out to me that I needed to up my house cleaning level because for example despite wiping my kitchen counter with soapy water everyday— under the dish drying rack was a petri dish. 😱

Have yet to give this UV flashlight a proper workout in the desert, but from what i have seen after playing with it at home, be warned: this little beast is vicious, so be damn sure to use demonstrably effective UV-blocking eyeware. The protective glasses included with the product appear to do the job.

I'm impressed! I've been having a problem lately. Some close friends recently got a new puppy, and have been bringing her over to play with my dog. They seem to love each other, and get along great! The only problem is that my dog is a male, and he's started "marking" around my house when the puppy is here. I keep a very clean house, but have started to sense urine odors in a few areas. Needless to say, this freaked me out! I've tried UV lights to detect pet urine in the past, and they didn't work at all. I saw this one, and decided to give it a try. I have to admit, this light works great! This is obviously a high quality UV light that truly works! The areas where my boy has marked glow like neon lights. A little treatment with enzymatic cleaners, then a quick shampoo with my carpet cleaner, and the odors are completely gone! The light is rechargeable, using a standard USB-c cable, and the charge seems to last quite a long time. The light does get quite hot during use, so be careful not to burn yourself. Also, do not stare at the light, as you can seriously burn your retinas. The flashlight is packaged with a quality carrying case and a pair of yellow protective glasses. I am very impressed with this product. Highly recommend.

I am blown away by the brightness, quality, and construction of this black light. My primary use for this light is for searching for scorpions outside when I am doing things outside, or even just sitting and enjoying nature. I live in Southern Arizona, and during the warmer months there are a lot of scorpions in my area. Now, I have been stung by scorpions, and it's not that particularly dangerous for me, but it sure as heck doesn't feel good either. While I have had other black lights that I have used in the past, they couldn't even hold a candle to this one, (no pun intended). Now the little suckers light up like a light bulb, and can be easily seen from a respectable distance. I also like that this light is rechargeable, and it seems to hold a charge a long time. This light packs some pretty powerful performance in a very compact size. I highly recommend it!

This powerful little UV flashlight does what it is supposed to do, but the cheap yellow tinted glasses that come with it, do not. I would not trust my eyes to these yellow glasses, and this UV light is bright enough that you are going to want to wear something when using them. I have some high quality sunglasses, that have variable tint and 99.99% UVA and UVB blocking. I wear these whenever I use a UV light, and you should wear something equivalent. Powerful UV light can cause permanent harm your eyes faster than you can say the alphabet, and using this flashlight without any protection is foolish. Just don't trust those included yellow lenses. Color does nothing to block UV light, so make sure whatever you are using is certified to block UV light. With that out of the way, this light delivers. It is super bright, and includes a powerful battery. The embedded USB-C connector, used to recharge the flashlight, is covered with a silicon plug, that is attached to the flashlight by a silicon ring. It works well enough, but I would not trust it to being fully submerged. Weather proof, but not waterproof. The reason I took off a star, even though this is an excellent flashlight, is the included yellow glasses. I would rather no glasses at all, and a stern warning to use eye protection, rather than to include glasses that are not certified in any way, to block UV light.
