8 Quarts of Horticulteral Grade Premium Perlite by xGarden. Gardeners use perlite to improve plant root health. Loose and aerated soil improves drainage and prevents soil compaction. Expanded Perlite is a natural vocanic material which expands to 20 times its original size when heated at high temperatures. Once expanded, each perlite "rock" has a surface area with thousands of tiny holes. These cavities help retain moisture and prevent soil from drying out as quickly. Perlite is Non-toxic and sterile and is PH neutral.
