Spanish for Guitar -- Masters in TAB: Easy to Intermediate Solos by the Spanish Masters

Great book of classics for practicing Spanish songs. Be sure to read the beginning of the book to understand all the signs and symbols as they will assist you in each song (even if you only read tabs). What helped me the most was that it signals when to barre or do a 1/2 barre which is very helpful. Sure these are a little harder to play but these are essential songs to have for a player whose goal is to get better and better.

I ordered this not knowing what was coming since there wasn't a sample of the music. I usually don't order music if they don't provide a sample but I took a chance and was glad I did. I read music but am a beginner as far as the guitar goes so I am glad they had both the music and the tablature. Some songs are relatively easy and others are for the advanced player. The famous leyenda and Recuerdos de la alhambra are in there and those are very advanced but with the tablature I can play Leyenda Asturias slowly.

One of the few places I was able to find a transcription of "Malagueña". I know it is viewed as uncouth in classical guitar circles to use tablature, but I can learn a peice in about 1/3 the time it would take if I were just looking at score, trying to figure out fingering, etc. It is good to have both. I gave this 4 stars because a few of the peices (including Malagueña) are "arranged" (shortened, transposed) by Wallach, when the original composer's version would have been fine.

I have used this book for years with with my classical students. Many beautiful, and playable songs.

Proper print size to be able to read. Clear print through out, so no trying to guess the note. Satisfied.

These easy to intermediate pieces are a must for the person who is interested in learning the power of the guitar for projecting the beauty of a piece of music. Beginning guitarist must learn these great pieces! Mr. Howard Wallach is a skillful arranger for the guitar and you should take advantage of his ability!

Lots of Spanish-style songs to learn of various difficulties. I wouldn't say that any are easy for my experience level. I am still somewhat of a beginner even though I can play about a dozen songs.

Good clear tab and music score. Good selection of well known songs

Don't buy on Kindle. Probably shouldn’t be sold via Kindle as hard to read.
