The EZ-Down® Pick-up Truck Tailgate Control Device by Stabilus® is the safest and smoothest way to lower your tailgate. EZDown uses two way valve Hydraulic Dampers to provide greater ease and hands-free convenience in lowering pickup truck tailgates. When closing the tailgate, EZDown helps ease the effort by counterbalancing the lifting load. Also designed for easy disconnect when towing, or other tasks requiring tailgate storage. EZDown equips pickup truck tailgates with soft-release, hands-free lowering, using quick disconnect dampers to absorb the impact and slow the speed of tailgate descent. Garbage. The steel ring failed after around two months
Garbage. The steel ring failed after around two months, so welded another more substantial ring on the end, this was fine for another month or so then the strut gave up and had no resistance. For nearly 100GBP this thing is a low quality rip off. I recommend buying a good quality gas strut for around 10-20 pounds and using that.
