Saved my wisdom tooth
I have TMD, a narrow mouth and all my wisdom teeth. I was told that as long as I can reach my teeth and brush them that there was no reason to remove them, and as I want to avoid any unnecessary procedures, I brush every night and floss daily. As a kid I was much less diligent about it and ended up needing fillings, and due to my teeth being so close together, flossing is very much a requirement for me. But again, I want to keep my teeth so I make dental care a priority. At my last dental appointment, I had to get some fillings redone, as I had developed TMD and clenched my teeth in my sleep so much I broke them. And at my last cleaning, they said it all looked good. I remember the hygenist scraping one of my wisdom teeth and her tool catching, but no one said anything, I figured they would've seen something on the X-ray, so I put it out of my mind. I brushed and flossed every day, so of course there was nothing to worry about!WRONGThis past October, I was running my tongue around my teeth just to make sure I had everything nice and clean, when my tongue brushed up on something on the same wisdom tooth the hygenist's tool caught on. I began to panic, because duh! I brush and floss dangit!! And I pried my mouth open as much as I could and looked in the mirror and saw an unmistakable sight: the edge of an unsightly grey crevice.A cavity.A very large cavity, in fact. I used a flosser to help gauge the damage and that sucker was HUGE. How did the dentist, the hygenist and I miss it for so long? This had been developing for at least a year, and obviously longer if the hygenist's tool was catching on it.I sat in horror and analyzed the situation. How could this have happened? Then I remembered I have TMD, and it was often difficult for me to open my mouth wide enough and get a toothbrush back there, so I likely got a little lazy. So what now? Was I going to have to concede and get one of my teeth of wisdom removed? Not with my stubborn self!So I did some furious researching and came across this toothpaste at the end of the research rainbow. It had a fancy ingredient that research told me would help remineralize teeth. And current research states as long as the cavity is in the first layer, it's possible to remineralize your teeth. I figured that since I wasn't crying in agony, there was a chance it wasn't too deep, but I had to make the decision NOW or I would have no other option than to lose a tooth I spent so long growing. My personal tooth! I also have never had a dentist that didn't grumble working on my teeth because of how narrow my mouth is, so I had no faith in finding one who would help me keep it. I didn't have the energy to beg and plead with them.So I bought this in the orange flavor, because mint gives me headaches, and decided to force myself every day to brush back there. It cannot be understated how huge this cavity was, so I figured it might take like six months to a year to remineralize, if such a thing was possible for me at this point. But I was determined! I had to try!I bought this toothpaste October 27th.It is now mid-January, and my tooth is almost all better. The only changes I made were not chewing food on that side, and using this toothpaste. I'm not against flouride by any means, and have seen smaller cavities remineralize with flouride as well, but for what it's worth, this did save my tooth from removal. The flavor is excellent. It reminds me of those Flintstone orange push pops from my childhood. More toothpaste needs to come in this flavor. For it fixing my tooth, I'd say it's a great pricepoint. I used more toothpaste than I usually do in my paranoid pursuit (I was always told just a pea sized amount is necessary) and probably have a month's worth left. At least. I'm not sure how to gauge it.No sensitivity. Does not foam much. I'm only mentioning these two points because Amazon seems to think it's important, but as I haven't bought traditional minty toothpaste from the big brand in years, I don't really know how to compare it. And again, not knocking any of the main brands, and you know which ones. I just can't stand mint. Why not enjoy brushing with watermelon or strawberry flavored toothpaste? Or in this case, orange dreamsicle? I'm a fully grown woman and will forever brush with tasty flavors. I'm actually excited to brush my teeth with candy fruity flavors. Try it sometime. This also came with a key. I saw some other reviews mention not getting one, but mine did.All in all, I could cry happy tears. Just a few months ago I was trying to imagine a hefty dental bill and how to afford it. I was planning a trip to Turkey and calculating how much money to save. I was trying to mentally prepare for losing my tooth, despite how hard I tried to take care of them. I was trying to make peace with the pain I was going to experience having my tooth removed, and the healing process and all that fun stuff. I felt like a failure. But a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. My tooth is 90% healed, and I'm confident as long I keep it up, the cavity will be gone entirely and become a distant horrible memory that I will recall on occasion and shudder about as it flashes into my mind during future brushings.Take care of your teeth and they will take care of you. Brush and floss every day. I will 100% recommend this toothpaste to anyone and everyone as it's effectiveness is undeniable. I had a crater in my tooth that rivaled the surface of the moon, and now it's almost gone. It works. It's that simple. It's effective and delicious. What more could you ask for in a toothpaste?

Sensitive Teeth? Medical hydroxyapatite is the way to go.
{Flavor: Orange Vanilla}Normally when you purchase a toothpaste you just receive the tube and little else in terms of fanfare, but this is a fantastic little toothpaste. The packaging is very clean and presentable with a small pocket providing a winding key to help curl the product so you get every last drop. The tube itself is durable yet comfortable, and is made of foil instead of uncooperative plastic. It comes with a cap that has a small poker to break the seal, truly being a product that is accessible and requires no outside tools. The only thing you need to buy separately is your toothbrush of choice.I am autistic and struggled my entire life with brushing my teeth due to the burn and taste of mint, but this is a far gentler flavor with no such burn. It is subtle and citrusy with a slight artificial sweetener after-taste I believe could use a bit of fine-tuning. The product still has that refreshing feel without the menthol sting most toothpastes have.So how does it do as a sensitivity toothpaste? Medical hydroxyapatite without a doubt is the way to go. When you encounter teeth sensitivity it's due to the breaking down of your enamel. Hydroxyapatite is what builds up about 90% of your enamel, so introducing it into your brushing really helps fortify weakened teeth. I have been buying hydroxyapatite toothpaste from Japan due to the strange hesitance in the States to educate and welcome this amazing solution, and now I am happily finding it now sold in the US. I can eat chocolates, ice creams and other former trigger foods without a lick of discomfort.I much prefer flouride-free toothpastes due to their possible toxicity (albeit the dose makes the poison) I'd much rather not use it if I don't have to, and this is a wonderful way to prevent cavities, protect and replenish your enamel, and gently whiten. As a whitening toothpaste, I need more time to assess its effectiveness, however I'm not personally concerned with my teeth color as long as my teeth are healthy. Personally, I would go for purple-toned toothpastes for whitening to counteract yellowing, but this is if it's a point of concern for anyone. This isn't my concern, as I bought this with the intent of rebuilding my enamel. Some other perks that may help others decide on this product is that it is cruelty-free (No animal testing) and vegan (No animal-derived products used) making this a truly kinder product. It's turning key and tube is metal, with only the tiny cap being plastic, this makes its way into a far more environmentally-friendly product compared to most common brands on shelves. This is a brand that should be on department store shelves due to its effectiveness, fair pricing for what you receive, and the standard it sets for teeth care.It is SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) free, which is another bonus. SLS has been linked to canker sores and other oral discomforts. One thing to note is that this product has xylitol in it and that is exceptionally toxic to our furry family members. If they are able to remove this from their formulas it would be another win in my books, but until then I will keep this product out of reach. Please take care that your curious pup or kit doesn't gain access to this product. The stevia and xylitol would need some minor fine-tuning to rid of the artificial sweetener after-taste.Overall, this is a very good product that just needs a few small adjustments in my opinion to become exceptional. I always love buying from brands that are not as well known as they can really direct our consumption into a far kinder and cleaner path.I will be buying again, but I hope to see more hydroxyapatite toothpastes in more flavors. I think Raspberry would be a wonderful sweet + tangy flavor that might compliment the stevia more.

Nice ..but little bitter .Spearmint is a softer, more balanced flavor profile ...
The peppermint flavor is a little bitter . it still has that nice tingly freshness sensation afterwards that lasts which is very nice. . The after taste of this toothpaste , is not bad necessarily, but the spearmint flavor is perfect . The spearmint has a softness , no bitterness and most enjoyable personally .The spearmint , has a more balanced flavor profile .I wish they would make the hydroxyapatite toothpaste in SPEARMINT flavor . I do not cares for myself so much . It is my picky kids that I am trying to appease . I know they will not be thrilled. Going up against chemical , Flouride filled toothpaste they were used to is very difficult . Will be sticking with the regular Davids Spearmint flavor Toothpaste for now for them , Otherwise so far after trying many other brands that have good ingredients and no toxic Flouride . This brand is the winner . The esthetics of the packaging is nice.Except , this tube did not come with the little metal twist key to keep the tube neat as one uses it .
