Q: Does it have an AC chord to plug/charge in a normal outlet

Yes it is 110v with a regular plug to plug it in wall

Q: Is there an adaptor that would allow this pump to use a ball pump needle?

The short answer is no. There are 5-6 attachments but they fit into a 1/2 inch hose. There is. O way to attach a needle either, nothing to screw to. Sorry.

There is not an override or other switch for that to shut off by itself. No reason it should shut off. Sorry you may have gotten a lemon.

We inflated a swan less than 5 minutes but a big island would be 10-15 min I would say if the seal is good. It depends on the island dimensions too.
