I was all excited when I received it. It's not heavy and easy to hold. I purchased this to cut up all my cardboard boxes. It wasn't as easy to use as I thought it would be. Holding the safety button and the on button at the same time was a little difficult after making a couple of cuts. It also did not cut through the cardboard as smoothly as it I thought it would, even if I stayed on the seams. At times it did seem to jam and I had to try yank it from that section and then try it from a different angle. It may be better for fabric or foam.

This electric cardboard knife is a godsend. I am not exaggerating. Doing all of the reviews I do and buying all the things I do from Amazon, I end up with a TON of boxes. That means a ton of cutting boxes. And they HAVE to be cut down. There's no way I could fit them all in my recycling bin each week if I didn't.I have traditionally used pocket knives for this task, but even the best steels dull out after a while cutting through heavy cardboard. I also don't want knife sharpening to become a hobby. That's where this cool little cutter fits in. It cuts through cardboard so quickly and easily. It glides right through!! They are super easy to use and master.The only limitation I see is that I still need to at least cut the tape with a knife. Not tape running across a face. That gets chopped as if it weren't there. I mean the tape holding the box square. You probably could push these through the corners, but why? It is a hassle. For me, the most efficient routine is cut the tape, allowing the box to sit flat, repeat through the stack of boxes. Then, box by box, cut the oversized ones down to an appropriate size. Easy enough.I can't speak to long term durability, but these feel well made. As long as the blades stay sharp, I expect this to keep on spinning.

I really like these for cutting cardboard and craft foam max thickness 1/2". I was hoping to use it to cut fabric but it won't work unless you can clamp fabric to your cutting surface on one side of start and hold the other side taut, making it difficult to start a straight cut. I am positive they will cut through low pile rug, leather and anything else that fits in the guide and will stay taut. The safety switch on the pair I received does NOT stay in place making it so I had to hold it while squeezing the "on-off" switch. It took a few times but after that it was not a concern anymore. They have a nice weight, but can cause fatigue if using for extended amount of time-which is not advisable per the much to be desired instructions-as the blade CAN get hot. There is a blade depth screw, but no real instruction on exactly what it does, or why you would need to change the blade depth. It did state to charge fully before first use and that took about 2.5 hours with the light changing to green from red when charged (I'm guessing as the manual didn't state that either). The body has an inclusive molded hole for hanging, but there is no bag or anything-no biggie-just a convenience thing. The color was true to the picture-I ordered the green ones. If you need to cut low pile carpet, craft leather, foam, vinyl, cardboard for quick short term cutting these are for you. Don't get if you think to cut fabric, interfacing, fleece, etc. I hope the pics help.

The safety switch is a bit awkward to use if you have small hands like me. It took me a while to find a comfortable grip that allowed me to release the safety and squeeze the trigger to activate the blade.Once it gets going, the cutting power did a number cutting cardboard. Got this specifically to break down my many Amazon boxes.😉It charged fairly quickly & has a substantial weight to it but it’s not too heavy where it’s not easily handled or maneuverable.

I ordered these Cordless Electric Scissors because I have to cut up a lot of cardboard all the time and I was using a utility knife and my hands would get tired or cramp after using the utility knife for a while but these cordless electric scissors have a 4.2V rechargeable lithium ion battery and you get approximately 2 hours of continuous use before you have to recharge. Recharging takes about 30 minutes. These cordless scissors are very easy to use. Anything that you would use scissors or a utility knife on, these very sharp cordless scissors will cut through with ease and fast, they work really well. They are lightweight and ergonomic and they seem to be quality made. I highly recommend these to others.
