It was awesome!
I loved this kit. I made it as a very special gift for my mom for Christmas. It was a reminder of her tea parties with my children as they grew up. Best gift I’ve ever given.

lovely project - do read instructions thoroughly before you start
I really enjoyed this - took me almost a month to complete - I used 2 thread floss at the start bus I didn't read the instructions at the start properly as I'm rather of a novice and was wondering why I was having so much left-over floss. Well, it's a 3 string floss project, so now I know. It still turned out great, even though if part-way I switched from 2 to 3 string. Mailed the finished project to my elderly tea-loving parents (not sure why this is called coffee cups where it's clearly a teabag hanging from one of the tea cups) and they were delighted - I was thinking they could create a throw pillow of it, but they said it's too nice and will frame it. The fabric is stiff to start, but after handling it a week or two, it gets crushed into softness. Be mindful that the printed colors don't correspond to the actual colors (other reviewers mention this as a source of frustration, but had they read the instructions it would have made sense) - it's done this way so that you can tell the pattern apart, otherwise you might go cross-eyed. Highly recommend this kit. Plan on doing another for my tea-loving Mother-in-law to send her for Xmas.

clearly marked but LOTS of problems. Re: teacups kit
I was a bit startled when I opened the package to find that this is not the same canvas material that I'm used to working on. If you look closely at the images provided (which I didn't do) you will notice that it's a different sort of material with holes in it. It is cheaper looking than standard canvas. The feel, before you work on it, is more paper-like than fabric. Once you work on it, the thread turns it into fabric and it almost feels like the usual canvas, just a bit more stiff. However, it doesn't have the strength or flexibility of typical canvas and I'm almost afraid when I set it in hoops. The design is very clearly defined. It's going to be hard to make mistakes because the markings are so precise and the color key is so clear. This is the project's biggest plus. It's great for beginners and for people like me who do needlepoint while watching TV or put a project down for days at a time. While I just started this project, I can already tell that the amount of thread provided is not anywhere near what will be needed to complete the project. For me, this isn't that big of a problem because I have so much stock of thread left over from other projects. I usually make color changes to projects so this lack will give me opportunities to improvise. However, it is highly unethical to sell a kit that the manufacturer has to know is incomplete. The user has to make quick calculations before starting a particular color field to ensure that the whole area can be covered or make a quick trip to JoAnn's with pieces of thread to find matching or similar colors (from what I'm reading, the DMC equivalencies are not accurate). At $.56 a piece, this could get expensive. Some of the designs allow for more flexibility, but the design I chose (the stacked teacups) is very precise. You might be able to vary greens in foliage-based designs, but a china pattern is rather inflexible. As I stitch the colored areas, the underlying colors disappear. However, I've just realized that there is a lot of white space around the cups and no provision is made for this area. The paper-like background can't be left like that--a big white space full of holes. No thread is provided and, when you look at the picture, the holes have been blurred so it looks filled in. I haven't looked closely at all the designs, but I have the feeling that the blank area between and around color fields is left to your discretion (and expense). Only colored threads for the design areas are provided, and probably not enough. So what seemed, initially, like an inexpensive kit, could have considerable cost run-ups.

So much fun!
This was my very first stamped cross stitch and I couldn’t be happier! The quality of the kit was great and there was more than enough thread of every color to complete the project. I was amazed when I washed it and all the lines disappeared! I used lukewarm water and just a few drops of mild detergent and let it soak for about 30 minutes.

So much easier than counted cross-stitch!
I love the ease of this kit. It is very well organized, and stamped very clearly with the thread symbols, no counting required! I'm deducting 1 star for 2 reasons:1. The included needle incredibly difficult to thread with 3 strands as required for this kit. Luckily, I had another supply of needles with bigger eyes that I ended up using2. Maybe because it's stamped, but the material is incredibly stiff - too stiff to use with an embroidery hoop. This makes it really tiring to hold because it's always flopping around! So I had to buy a scroll frame in order to keep it taut.I will update this review when I get it finished. I can't wait!

Nice quality!
Nice quality, plenty of thread. Print soaked off completely. I’m impressed. I decided to fill in the background using my own thread.

Fun project.
This fun project is easy to follow but I gave it 3 stars for beginners because of the color changes. It can feel overwhelming with all the colors. The thread is not DMC quality but is ok and the quantity is adequate. Also, in a few of the areas, there is very heavy ink where colors, and grid lines intersect and block the holes. All in all, it’s a fun project and I will buy more kits from this company. I just finished it and have a few more thoughts. Because of the size, I put it in a floor frame and the ends are rolled. When it was time to change colors, I had to unroll the whole thing to find the legend. I wish they would have a separate printed chart using the same symbols as on the piece. Thread colors are not the same as the piece colors so a blue square may indicate yellow thread, yellow square may indicate red thread.

Beautiful Cross Stitch Kit
I have been watching this kit for awhile and decided to finally get it. The picture is very pretty. I think the printed aida7 cloth all be much easier than doing counted cross stitch. I used to do cross stitch over twenty years ago. I started doing needlepoint last year and decided to try this beautiful cross stitch kit after seeing it.

As promised
Love this! Good quality components, very easy pattern to follow. At first I was worried that the 3 strand of thread recommended wasn’t covering the bright pattern underneath but then I reread the directions and realized the pattern underneath disappears when you wash your work, once you’ve finished. I haven’t finished and washed it yet, but it seems like a cool idea. Will make a nice gift.

HIGH QUALITY
This cloth is stamped correctly on the grid. Colours are arranged and numbered. No counting involved. Lots of floss is provided, in fact there is a little extra. Very satisfied!
