If you are the organized type (like me), then you have also surely come to cherish your labeler — recognizing it as an indispensable tool for any number of household and business applications. Unfortunately, however, that inevitable time will come when you reach the end of your cartridge (seemingly ALWAYS when you are only half way finished with your project), leaving you scrambling for a replacement! Thus, it is essential to have at least a few spare cartridges on hand at all times. This pack of six replacement cartridges is a great value and ensures that you can label to your heart’s content without ever having to worry about being caught short.Since cartridge tape types can vary depending on the model (size, length, width), check first to make sure that the specs of these replacements will fit your device. In my case, I have a trusty Brother PT-1280, which specifies “9/64-1/2 tape, 3.5-12mm” in the manual — so these cartridges work just fine. Although I followed the instructions on the included blue inserts and attempted to first “tighten the ribbon” by gently twisting the green spindle counter-clockwise as pictured, it just seemed to keep spinning happily, without affording any tension whatsoever. Nevertheless, I threw caution to the wind and snapped the cartridge into my labeler, hoping for the best.Fortunately, once I started printing some labels for a long overdue kitchen canister project, my initial trepidation was eased when it became clear that everything seemed to be running smoothly. By all appearances, once printed — these labels are visually indistinguishable from the far more costly “name” brand alternative. The tape feels identical and the printing is seamless, with no ink streaking or smudging whatsoever. Similarly, the adhesive properties of this tape seem equally matched to that of the original.Sadly, attempting to remove the outer backing of the tape is a far more difficult process and will most likely result in at least a modicum of profanity! With the original tape, a definitive “cut” down the middle of the tape’s rear side ensures that the backing can be easily removed when it is time to apply your labels. By contrast, on the tape within these cartridges — that “cut” on the tape’s back side is far LESS perforated, forcing the user to fold the label much more forcefully in order to pry off the backing, possibly resulting in mangled, unusable tape. I found that the best fix for this is to first print out a longer strip, then fold that entire strip in half and try to remove just half of the entire backing. THEN, make your individual label cuts — after which you can remove the other side of the backing easily. The process of folding/removing the backing is WAY more difficult on a smaller piece — I ruined at least a few labels that way first!If the manufactures of this product can successfully address the issue of ensuring easier removal of the tape’s backing, then these replacement cartridges would be an absolute must have for every compatible user. As is, since the print/ finish/adhesion of this tape is excellent, they remain a great value for budget conscious users who possess a bit of patience and/or have razor thin nails which allow for easy tape-backing removal. For impatient and clumsier types, though, this product’s one discernible shortcoming could prove to be a deal breaker.

I have become a "label nut" labeling many items as I go through the day. My goal is to get better organized and not lose track of my remote controls, plugs and chargers for my electronics.I was very happy to receive the P Touch Label Tape TZe compatible labels as I was quickly running out of my large stash of expensive OEM labels purchased from an office supply store. The 3 pack of black on white tape is my usual color combination (I do have several other color combos for special uses).Each cartridge was individually wrapped in cellophane. When removing from the wrapper, a blue cardboard partially covered the cartridge with a reminder to: Tighten the ribbon by turning the gear in the direction shown by the arrow". I did so and turned and turned and turned but the tape did not appear to "tighten up". After many turns I gave up and inserted the cartridge - it worked.The tape itself prints the same way as any other tape. High contrast black on white tape. I could not observe any difference in the quality of the printing or resolution from any other tape I had previously used.I did think the tape was a little less thick than the OEM tape. This does not appear to be an important issue as once it is placed on the desired item, the thickness is irrelevant.On the downside, I found it very difficult to remove the backing. I tried several ways and methods and all were difficult. There is not a clearly visible mid-line on the backing to pick to expose the backing. Once the backing is picked off (started to peel off), it comes off easily. The backing issue is a little frustrating but not a show stopper.In summary, this is a good quality take for your Brother label maker. It has a few little negatives, but the price point is very attractive for a compatible tape cartridge.

Bought these to use for my P touch. Great value , and it’s just as good as the branded labels.

The store by me was out and would have taken forever to get here. Found this product and I have no problems.So many things advertise themselves as compatible with devices and aren't. Not this product. I used it with the brother machine with zero issue! Side By side there is no difference in this quality and consistency is really important in the file room here. Will have to order again when the time comes.

I have a Brother P-Touch PT-D200. This fits and works perfectly. So far I have had no issues with jamming or printing. I also had no issues with the split back of the tape. It is nice to have a four pack replacement that is easier and cheaper to get than trying to find the same at the big stores.
