I love this table runner! We have a long informal dining room table and I have a hard time finding something long enough to hang off both ends. This table runner fits perfectly and it looks so attractive on my table. I loved that it was handmade and ethically sourced. For the price, this is a fantastic deal!

What a gorgeous table runner! I had a hard time choosing one as all of the colors looked lovely. I finally went with the navy blue version and it was a great choice. The navy is a vibrant blue and there is a beautiful double-banded border at each end that is made of blue and and beige fibers for an intricately detailed look. There is a similar border along each side. I think the colors and texture look and feel wonderful, and I can only imagine how much time and effort went into learning this skill and how much work it must have taken to make this runner. It is so well made. The runner can be rolled up or folded width-wise but not lengthwise due to the nature of the raffia fibers (a bit like straw, but from a palm instead of dried grass). The runner seems quite durable, too.I have a collection of vintage-look hand-thrown stoneware pickling crocks and pitchers -- they are the traditional off-white color with blue bands. I keep them on an old oak hope chest. I wanted something to place under the stoneware and this runner is the perfect solution and it highlights my collection beautifully. I ordered the small size which is the perfect fit so the entire length of the runner can be seen and appreciated. I would love to have several more of these for my kitchen table. I appreciate that this runner is made under fair-trade practices. The packaging includes a picture and quick bio of the artist which is so nice. The runner I received was hand- made by Ruth. It is definitely worth every penny and I will be buying more. The runner was rolled up and tied with a length of naturally colored raffia straw for a nice presentation and then packed in a charming brown paper bag and secured with a longer and thicker piece length of the dark blue raffia. I think this runner would make a great gift.

This is quite a beautiful table runner. We have the natural raffia one. The craftsmanship is top notch. We take it out for when we have guests. We chose the specific length that was appropriate for our table. This is supporting local artists which we are all about, supporting local craftsman and small businesses. They have a nice feel to them as well.

Not only is it made VERY well, it is so beautiful! I am using it as a table runner at the top of my entryway. I have flowers (fresh if possible) to bring out the colors of the runner as well. You could not be disappointed.I absolutely love that this is handmade and supporting an organization that supports fair trade and artists in all over Africa. This helps people feed themselves and their families.I highly recommend. Based on the runner itself, it is a 15/10. High quality materials and craftsmanship. Where the proceeds go is a 10/10. I wouldn't hesitate to buy or recommend.

I'm happy I ordered the Kazi Essentials Farmhouse Woven Table Runner for two reasons. One reason is I love it! I ordered the natural banana bark, which gave my table a fresh look. The runner is stiff and rigid and lays flat - it has imperfections because it is made by hand - and gives the table/room a warm feel. As I said there are imperfections, but nothing that affects the durability of the runner. There were loose threads that needed clipping and not everything is perfectly straight and even - but again, it's handmade and that is to be expected. The second reason I love this runner is it helps the maker (in this case a woman named Ruth in Uganda) sustain herself financially. I'm not only getting something handmade and beautiful, but assisting someone live a better life. It's a win win. These runners will make a great addition to your home, or get several and give them away as gifts - you'll have a hard time giving them away because they're so nice, so be sure to at least order a few.
