Great product
I work for Toyota as a tech and to be able to have my own one of these is amazing. Of course the shop has one but I like to have my own tools and it works amazing

I should've bought this a long time ago!
I bought this for one purpose, to figure out how and where to locate a new CAT-6 wire inside a compound wall of a very old house without trashing the masonry work or lathe and plaster more than necessary. I've had it a very short time and I've found more than a dozen other uses for it, from complex inspections to find the screw I dropped that rolled under a heavy sofa. As an arthritic old man, this is a much bigger deal than you youngsters can imagine!

Nice "intermediate" level bore scope
I have other "bore scopes" that connect via WiFi or Bluetooth but they are always needing charged and connected - its not a big hassle but this completely solves those two problems - just plug in and go. I'm much more likely to grab this one in the future and leave the rest in the drawer. When first connected, a screen popped up saying that the app wasn't installed and gives a link for loading it from the App Store - under two minutes and I was up and running. The phone clip is simple but works fine and keeps the phone in an easy to view position while working. The knob and buttons can easily be managed with one hand while feeding the scope with the other hand -Many of these phone based cameras have a flexible cable to the camera - not stiff enough to feed it into a space or maneuver it without adding something to stiffen it.This is a lightly armored cable with both the camera cable and the head motion cables inside - its a nice stiffness for working into a space and can still be bent quite sharply -The control for the motion of the camera head is smooth and easy to use - allowing a bit more than 90 degrees in two directions - Oddly, the motion is diagonal to the camera view - it doesn't move the image up/down or side to side but rather in a upper left to lower right diagonal. Its not a problem but takes a little getting used to.There is no marking on the head indicating which way is "up" on the camera - again not super important but would be convenient (marking mine with a silver sharpie). You can rotate the view 360 degrees in 90 degree steps to make it view correctly on your phone.Light level is cycled through four levels and off with a button on the body of the handle - the other button takes a picture. The app is simple and not super clear what everything does but there are only a few buttons total and it obvious what they do after you press them once.Image quality -This is an "HD" camera - with a small lens set for a medium short distance and with a decent depth of field - it will be a compromise for some applications but also works fine for many uses - I don't find it a problem for general use and in this price range. The images are good in the focus range and with reasonable light - to have a usable depth of field, the lens is a higher f-stop and it needs quite a bit of light - which at reasonable distances, the built in lights do OK.The camera will attempt to give you an image even when its much darker than would be ideal - so it does get grainy and dim under low light. They included a B&W mode that can help see more detail under some conditions -Overall, for the price, this is a very usable and convenient little camera - the control of the head makes it easier to get into locations and to see where you want to look - much better than the simple camera on a cable units.Images are decent and width of view is nice for slightly larger spaces - works well in a wall.I think its a good value and a nice tool.

Very useful, well made, tip position adjustable from the handle, full HD.
This is the second borescope I've tried. I bought an inexpensive one some time ago that connects to a computer's USB port. While it could be bent as needed, it did not have a movable head. The low definition pictures were too blurred and grainy to see much. This borescope is completely different. To begin with, it is full high definition (1080p), and uses a phone as a screen. It comes with both USB-C to lightning and USB-C to USB-C cables. I used the former, having an iPhone SE 2020. The iOS phone app (UseePlus) is compatible with the current iOS (17 at time of leaving this review) and was last updated only four months ago. The borescope's end can be moved back and forth in two dimensions by 360 degrees using a knob on the handle that holds the phone. The handle accepts my iPhone in its rather thick case. (Note: The pictures above show my old iPhone 2016.)The borescope has two physical buttons. One button controls the intensity of the light at the end of the 'scope, and the other takes photos. As with any photo app I've come across, you need to grant the app permission to access your photos to save them. You can magnify what the camera is seeing by up to and including a factor of 2. Doing so increases the graininess of the photo. There is a button on the app that lets you change the view to black-and-white, and another that lets you change from vertical view to horizontal view. The view is not full-screen in either mode, however. The app will also let you take video. Both photos and videos can be viewed within the app, but if you wish to view them in the Photos app, they must be selected manually and transferred. The app also lets you make comparisons by showing the last picture to the right of the currently capturing image. It has a pdf-making function, in which you select before and after shots and provide data such as title, description, date, etc.Pictures of distant objects in pitch black places, such as between the wall and my desk to examine an ethernet cable, result in grainy (not surprising) pictures. Pictures of near items, such as a hard drive connector inside a malfunctioning dock, are clear enough. The overall quality of the picture resembles that of my USB microscope rather than the crystal clear photos from a phone's built-in camera - after all, there's only so much clarity you can get from such a tiny sensor. Being able to adjust the position of the tip using the handle knob makes life easier. Even better would be the ability to adjust it in three dimensions - but I'd think that such a 'scope would be significantly more expensive. The tip of the 'scope gets quite hot at the brighter light intensities; you wouldn't want to look in your ear at all at the higher intensities, nor for very long at the lowest intensity. Better not to stick anything in your ear at all, to be honest - leave that to your doctor.I am very pleased with this borescope. The extra cost over the cheap one I bought some time ago is worth it for the increased function and resolution. The app is very good, and complements the 'scope well. This borescope will get plenty of use in home repair projects.

Extremely useful; articulating head only moves on one plane
This has been a lifesaver for running wiring in my home. Be aware that you can only articulate the head on a single plane of movement (e.g. x-y plane so it'll only swing back and forth in an arc on that plane, no movement on the z axis), so if you need to turn it in another direction you can't only rely on the knob on the controlling remote you'll have to actually roll the wire/cable in your hands to rotate the camera. Also make sure the hole you're sending this into is bigger than the head/cable itself - the first inch of the head is very soft by necessity to be able to articulate so it'll just fold in on itself if the opening your inserting this into is too narrow.
