Strong Signal and Fast Speeds on a High Floor
Last month I purchased the D-Link AX3000 5G Cellular Gateway for my small business because our office building management company charges too much and the connection wasn't stable. I initially had concerns about signal strength because we are on the 10th floor; however, the AX300 has become an essential networking device. We tested two SIMs from different wireless carriers and both provided strong 5g connections. We haven't experienced any lag or bandwidth issues when multiple employees are simultaneously dialed into video-teleconferences. We also configured the VPN for after hours remote access to our LAN. So far I've only used it in our office but if we all go on a business trip together, then I may take the cellular gateway on the road with us.Overall, the D-Link AX3000's versatility, performance, and reliability have exceeded my expectations, which made it a perfect cellular device choice to meet our video-teleconferencing, remote server access, and other connectivity needs.

Great range, handles numerous devices well, but not so great at 2G/5G auto-routing
Overall this router is a vast improvement over the generic router sent to me by my ISP. It handles heavy traffic much more efficiently, my house has three desktop computers, three gaming consoles, and when the kid's friends are over there's well over a dozen phones and consoles connected to the WiFi. This would really bog down my old router, but this is where the D-Link's built in dual-core processor shines. The UI is simple and easy to use while having plenty of options for advanced users, the best one being the ability to assign certain devices priority bandwidth access, the range of the signal is great, probably almost four times that of my old router. Only have one complaint, which is why I gave four stars overall: the router is supposed to automatically assign devices to the two different WiFi networks, if a device is 5G capable it is supposed to connect it to the 5 GHz network, and if it is not 5G only then connect it to the 2.4 GHz. This is not the case for me however, I have my personal PC connected via ethernet, but my wife and step-son's PC's are connected via WiFi, they both have 5G capable WiFi adapters but they were frequently getting connected to the 2G network, as were 5G phones. Now it didn't always do this, I'd say 60% of the time devices got connected correctly, but that meant 40% of the time most devices were on the 2G network which really bogs it down. So I had to resolve this by going in and disabling this feature and creating two separate 5G and 2G networks. Other then that, works like a charm.

This DLink installed more easily ,and quickly than the more expensive I started with.
Easy to install both the written and the app were produced for the specific model I was installing. Well written making clear the function of information entered. They were Not generically written for lots of different models like the Tp , that has an internet port issue, with lots of steps that were written out of order. The DLink started working properly from the moment power was applied to the router and modem.I don’t know if it’s my imagination, but my old desktop computer seems to be operating faster.

One of the most expensive useless item I ever bought
This very expensive router did not work at all, but I couldn't return it because I had to travel out of the country. Now it's the most costly plastic box with useless electronics inside. I had to give one star because of the minimum rating requirement. However, I would have rated it lower.

Good Value 5G Mobile Cellular Gateway
I am an IT professional with both military and civilian experience who recently retired. I purchased this 5G gateway for travel in my Class B camper van and as a backup for home internet. I had difficulty using the included SIM card as it never fully connected to the 5G cellular service. I sent email to support and they responded in a day that I needed a firmware upgrade. I was sent the link, upgraded the gateway, and then it worked as expected. The mobile app works on my Pixel 8 Pro, the text is small but usable. In central Florida I used the gateway to get 5G service, previously I had 4G LTE service only from my Pixel hotspot. My primary cellular service is via the T-Mobile network from Google. Thus, I am a very satisfied owner of this D-Link 5G gateway and the support for it.

Set up steps don't follow instructions & returns data theft warnings
First, following the instructions result in security concern from Safari. Second the screens do not follow the D Link instructions. The on screen steps all say to have a wired connection to the router but not the instructions. I ignored them and things worked. I missed it, but looks like this device only provided a 5 G connection. My security cams are 2.4G I'll have to use a converter. Seems quite fast wiht AT&T service.

Awesome and more than I need
I live in Los Angeles and purchased this product right before the fires hit in January 2025. As a router, it is certainly high performing and a great product. But the benefit for us was using it when internet was going down due to its ability to slot in a 5G card and using cellular internet instead of our at home broadband. The connection was fast and it was a great way to keep us up and running during a time of crisis. Whether it was to get work done or watch some shows while the world burned, we appreciated having the functionality the router provided. It's awesome and probably more than I need in our home but I'm glad I have it.

Did not work with T-moble 5G Home Internet...
I read a comment from another use that stated they had no issue with T-mobile but was wondering if they were actually on a business plan. From discussions with the T-moble tech support, the answer I got was this device, or rather the sim card issued for their equipment, would not work in this device, and did not with the numerous attempts on my own, including manipulating the APN settings with tech provided info. The business plan Definity will allow for this device to operate but I do not have a business account to verify. I will say that the interface does offer a lot of options for security controls and operations. I was just disappointed that T-mobile does not allow the same options for home users. I would recommend the product for T-mobile small-business users based on the stated data increases and security options.
