Huge fun!
I loved this life affirming film with a wonderful cast. I saw it in the cinema and thought it hugely enjoyable, funny and poignant. It was a "must-have" for my DVD collection. Several reviews here mention an age demographic... well, I'm not 60 yet, but I think a life affirming film is great however old you are!

one would expect Finding Your Feet to be an excellent film. And it is
With such a stellar British cast, one would expect Finding Your Feet to be an excellent film. And it is! Not really aimed at the younger generations, but should appeal to those approaching their sixth decade and beyond. If you're a fan of Timothy Spall, but haven't seen him for a while, be prepared to be shocked after his recent weight loss. Joanna Lumley looks amazing as always but forgoes her blonde locks for a silver look. Stunning1A mixture of both pathos and hilarity, I can thoroughly recommend this film.

A beautiful fim.
When I first saw a clip of this film on television as a promotion, some chat show or other, I decided I would not go to see it. How wrong can a reaction to an out of context clip be? This is a truly beautiful film. It has to be really. It is directed by Richard Loncraine, who directed Michael Palin's 'The Missionary', stars a handful of the most talented actors Britain has produced in the last 40 years, and is all photographed, choreographed and edited to tell a really affecting story of two sisters, and a blossoming love affair. Finally, I'd like to say it is so nice to see people 'of a certain age' portrayed as real people, with real emotions. Central performance of Imelda Staunton worth the price of admission alone. Thanks for a great life affirming film.

Finding Your Feet's marvellous cast, music & bittersweet story-line makes this a terrific film
I was totally unprepared for the emotional ride this film would take me on ...from laughter to tears and from sadness to joy. Finding Your Feet has a wonderful cast of British actors who treat some difficult subjects with an amazing level of realism and sincerity (e.g. death, dementia, betrayal and divorce) but also are able to deliver moments of gentle humour to lift one's spirits to keep you from reaching for a box of tissues. The music score should appeal to anyone who lived through, or who enjoys, music from the nineteen fifties and sixties (even though the story is firmly set in the present day). The settings and locations (London, Surrey and Rome) are very atmospheric, thanks to some marvellous cinematography. So, if you enjoy bittersweet romances that contain gentle humour and some quite moving poignant moments, then this movie should appeal. I for one will certainly watch it again and will no doubt relish it all the more for seeing it a second time.

Foot stompingly fabulous !!
Wonderful cast, it would be difficult to imagine how any project with this line up could fail and it doesn't. It delivers in spades !! I laughed, cried, wiggled my hips, cried all over again, and ended up with a big smile on my face. Just a glorious movie.

What the English do best - great character acting, snappy dialogue and strong plot!
Not a weak point to be found! Directing of the exceptionally strong cast is tight and allows each character to develop providing a clever interweaving of stories making a powerfully memorable whole.
