Looks great and provides only a small degradation in signal strength
I bought this for my 2013 Ford F150 primarily because I bought a cover for the vehicle and did not want to cut a hole in the cover for the antenna. My idea was either to have a very small antenna which can fit under the cover or have a small antenna that I could easily remove and just put in the truck when the cover is on (and re-install easily). I decided that, even though small, over time even this small antenna would wear a hole in my cover. Thus, I remove the antenna whenever I put the cover on and re-install when I use the truck. This antenna is very high quality. It is made of metal and has a good, textured finish (I think it is a power coat). It installs and removes VERY easily. It also looks much better than the original long, thin antenna that came on the truck. Most of the time, the reception on AM and FM is perfectly fine and I notice zero difference from the stock antenna. When I go much further from my city, I do start losing stations a little earlier. So the reception is not quite as good, but more than an acceptable. Certainly I am happy with the trade-off of a little reception for a better look, and more importantly for me, much more convenience for handling my truck cover.

Excellent looks, quality, and performance; very easy to install
The stock antenna on my Ford Fiesta ST was slightly bent and rubbing to the rear hatch, so I decided to replace it. I did a Google search for aftermarket products and came accross pictures of this Stubby antenna. It was available through Amazon with next-day Prime shipping, so I decided to give it a try. What a great decision it was, I absolutely love the looks and performance! I paid $25 plus tax, which in hindsight is a bargain in my opinion. It arrived in an environmentally-friendly and simple cardboard box: just the antenna inside, no plastic bag, no instructions, no unnecessary packaging. Very functional and unpretentious. It has a nice weight to it and feels high quality. Its surface is a black rubbery plastic or coating that I predict will endure the elements well. The installation was super simple (and illustrated on the box): unscrew the stock antenna, screw in the Stubby antenna. It took me less than a minute.I was expecting some deterioration of radio reception, but as far as my six favorite preset FM channels are concerned, I could not hear any loss of fidelity during my daily commute.Did I mention that I love the looks? It is a matter of personal preference and taste, but I think this Stubby looks so much cleaner and sharper on my ST compared to the long stock antenna. In my humble opinion, it is worth every penny that I paid for it.

Cool looking and retains same signal strength as stock tall, floppy antenna.
I bought it because I really liked the looks of it over the tall stock flopping in the breeze antenna which might brake off in car washes. So I got this before anything could happen to the stock one. Sure I saw a couple other reviews saying loss of signal or whatever but for the price why not try it? It of course is easily installed just unscrew old (but save it) and screw Stubby in place. It fits and looks great on my truck. I drove all over with the radio showing no difference in signal strength. The true test was a tunnel on our highway which the signal faded at the exact same spot I notice everyday using the stock tall antenna. So now I have a great looking stubby antenna with the same signal strength and no worries of the chamois car washes ripping my antenna off. yea yea I use those horrible car washes because nothing else truly gets the dirt off. Great product at a great price. I know I will recommend it when anybody asks me about it.

Fits 07 F-150; Your signal will not be quite as good as a longer antenna
I like it. The antenna was very easy to install and fit my 07 F-150 just fine. Something that people need to understand, this will very predictably reduce your radio's ability to receive signals. How much it reduces it depends on a few things, like distance from the transmitting radio station, the power of their transmitter, and the topography around your location. This is not meant to replace your stock radio antenna 1 for 1, or it would be the same length as your stock antenna. Come on people, there's a reason most antennas are long enough to stick out over the roof of your vehicle, use common sense and realize when you put on a shorter one, the signal will degrade some. All that said, I don't listen to much radio so the loss of signal doesn't bother me much. I got this because my stock antenna kept scraping on low branches and parking garages. I will say it was a bit shorter than I expected, but that isn't a fault. I'd compare it to the length of the antenna on your wifi router, and looks similar to that as well. The few radio stations I did test were fuzzier than usual. I could tell the signal drop slightly from having a large structure in the way of the signal direction, but that's about it. I would imagine if you're in a rural area as opposed to a city, and have a nearby station not limited by natural features, you won't notice too much difference.Lastly, who is buying this as a performance upgrade to their stock antenna? If your stock antenna breaks and you want the same performance, you can get a stock replacement for cheaper than this. Buy this antenna if you need a SHORTER, STUBBY antenna, but be realistic about what it is capable of.
