Why can't I make complete ice balls (half and half)?

Please fill liquid above the indicated water line, then, while closing the lid, it's crucial to line up the both side of the trays (with different width), and you should hear a light click to make sure the trays are closed seamlessly.

If too much water is added, the ice balls could be "linked" together after freezing, during the making process, it is sufficient to pour water just a little above the water line.
