Are the farm animals pvc-free and bpa-free ? i can’t find any information on box or description. under safety information it’s stats “false”

I they are hard plastic animals , they make no noise

One of these answers says the toy is "lead compliant." Does that mean that there is lead in the product?

I believe that means it has an amount that is legal under the state laws in the USA. If that is not what it means then I don’t know!

How small are the pieces? Would they be too small for a one year old?

No. The farm animals are about the size of Little People characters. The farm is not huge, but I would say its a good game for a 1+ year old.
