Very reliable and worthy.
I have a few of these I use the 250 mainly but wanted a bigger one so I ordered this 300 size one. Able to to put a lot of line on it which is why I ordered this size. It casts very smooth and reels in the same way. Bait clicker is great and very easily heard from a distance. I’ve had a couple of the 250’s for a few years now and they still perform as good as I bought them.

Great trolling real.
I fished with these back in the early 90s, trolling for stripers and loved em. Order 2 of these new ones and I gotta say these have the smoothest drag I’ve ever felt on a reel.. and I own 4 abus! Will be ordering more.

Garbage reel, buy old Shimano
Horrible reel. Clicker broke immediately. Drag is terrible, levelwimd broke almost immediately. Made in China garbage.

Disappointing to see it is “Engineered by Daiwa” rather than made by Daiwa.
Daiwa name does not appear anywhere on it except in ‘engineered’ statement. Have not tried it out, but plan to return as I don’t want a Chinese reel. It may work fine, although I don’t know as I refuse to support Chinese products if there is any alternative, and lately even if there is not.

Great update to a classic reel.
This is the tried and true Millionaire Classic with new colors and carbon fiber drag.I bought this to fish as a heavier setup for the Florida intracoastal and light setup for the surf. My main surf reels are Daiwa Sealine x30sha but I wanted something lighter to put on a 9' rod to fish the first trough. I have only caught a few winter bluefish between 11" and 18" so far but the reel handled them easily. The new color scheme is black and it looks great on the all metal body and the gold spool tensioner. Everything is smooth and the drag adjustment turns nicely.I can cast 73 yards on a 9' rod, 4 oz sinker, stock greased bearings, and with the line leveler in place. It feels very fast though, and if you cleaned the bearings and removed the line leveler I think you could easily cast over 100. I have my Sealines for long casting though so I'm leaving this as is.The size is comparable to an Abu Garcia 6000 series. You can see the comparison to my larger reels in the pictures. The only issue - and this is for all reels with a bar and/or button release (as opposed to clutch switch) - is that you need to use your thumb to roll the spool back a little before you put it into free spool if you are using heavy rigs. Otherwise, it feels to me like you are putting extra strain on the anti reverse.I did open it up to add extra grease to the main gears but they were already well greased. Looked clean inside.I've had it to the beach a few times, and with a fresh water rinse afterwards, it seems to be holding up just fine.Highly recommend.

Just what I wanted for Lake trolling.
I use to troll Eagle Lake CA using the Jay Fair setups and it does the job very well. It is a great product for my use.

Excellent reel
This is a very smooth casting reel that works well with swimbaits.

Good reel but not for everybody.
Bought this reel for big swimbait fishing and found it casted my baits really well. Unfortunately I'm just not used to round reels yet and found out a little uncomfortable. It would be really suitable for trolling but that's not something I'm interested in doing. I ended up returning mine, but understand that this is still a fantastic reel. It just wasn't what I was looking for.
