This is the perfect mattress. I had a bad experience before with another mattress that basically felt like a thick blanket. This was my second attempt, and it turned out exactly how I wanted. I like sleeping close to the floor without discomfort, and this mattress is just right.It’s firm and supportive — nothing digs into the floor, so there’s no pain or pressure on the bones. It’s very comfortable overall.Maybe it could have been just a little thinner, but if it were, it would probably start to feel uncomfortable.It’s a great middle ground between a thick, standard mattress and a very thin mat for those who want a really hard sleeping surface, like a Japanese sleeping mat.

One hundred percent more comfortable than the awful inflatable things!! Slept wonderfully on it at large get together with shortage of beds. Extremely happy with this purchase. Throw away your air mattress and buy this amazing mattress. I promise you will love it!

Perfect and comfortable

I’ve been using a different brand of floor mattress for a few years now to help with my back and it was fine. I slept on this one for the first time last night and it was so much nicer, noticeably more dense and firm. I got great sleep. I woke up and my back felt great. Glad I bought this.

I recently bought this mattress for my daughter’s room and it has been a fantastic purchase. It’s incredibly comfortable and provides great support—she sleeps soundly every night. What’s even better is that it’s thick and firm enough that we didn’t need to buy a bed frame or base. It sits well directly on the floor and still looks and feels great.

My mom is visiting me and has severe back pain. I ordered this mattress for her because she can’t sleep on a regular bed. She’s so happy with it—and honestly, I’m tempted to get one for myself or keep using the one I bought for her after she leaves! It makes a great combination with a heated blanket. Highly recommended!

A good but not great Japanese futon. I am having back pain from my overly soft mattress that is not supportive. So I bought this shikibuton and started sleeping on the floor. What I liked was that it was well made from what I could tell. So, on the first night I used it and in the morning my back was not sore but my hips were. I am a side sleeper and the mattress just isn't supportive enough to avoid having my hips basically supporting my weight. I think if you are a back sleeper then this would work for you just fine. It's also not easy to store as there's no straps or anything from keeping it folded. You can fold it, but it'll just want to "pop out" unless you put something heavy on it or use a strap of some sort. This is unfortunate.My plan now is to use both my regular bed and this futon. I'll just switch back and forth depending on whether my back is sore or not. Overall, for the price I cannot recommend it for side sleepers. If you are a back sleeper (which I'm not) then you'll probably like it.Pros:Seems well made.No funky smells.Puffed up nicely.Good for back sleepers.Neutral:Size was fine.Cons:If only it was just a bit more thick or supportive.If you're a side sleeper (like me) prepare to have your hips sore in the morning.Doesn't fold easily or stay folded. You'll need to use some kind of strap to keep it from unfolding.Price was a bit much for what is essentially an oversized chair cushion.

I was wanting to get a futon for quite a while. I love sleeping on the floor. So I did my research. A lot of people were buying zonli beds and I was going to as well but when I looked at the Amazon reviews, it wasn’t that great. And then I stumbled across this one which had lots of good reviews on Amazon but not really any on YouTube so I risked it and bought it.Was I satisfied with purchase?Uh YEAH!!!! This is probably the most comfortable Japanese futon I bought in a while.I hear the floor is best to sleep on for your back.it of course supports your back. The quality is beyond amazing, and it’s super easy to move. I will only say get something to tie it so it stays. It tends to unfold but it’s no biggie. The size is comfortable!So yah highly recommend this
