I bought a ball head to go with this so I can tilt and shoot. It has been very useful. It's carbon fiber so it's pretty sturdy. I could see this being useful in most situations but because of the cameras I own if I'm shooting at a second or slower I'd absolutely need a tripod.

Well made and exactly what I needed. Feels good quality and price was reasonable.

Strong, sturdy, long, light weight. Seems like fair value. I use it in combination with a 3Pod tilt head for my binoculars for night sky gazing, and it is filling that function very nicely.

I'm not a professional photographer so I don't need the most expensive monopod. This has an extra section from my previous monopod. No more leaning over to look into the viewfinder. I'm 6 feet tall and it works really well for me. Rubber cap on foot removes so you can use the spike for grass fields if you're shooting sports.

After going through several of the less expensive monopods on Amazon and being unhappy with the stability or the ability not to slide up and down when locked, I finally looked up what model my local high end camera shop carries and found this one. I’ve been using this one for half of the soccer season and it’s been a treat. I use a Canon 7D Mark II and a Sigma 150-600mm lens which is quite heavy. The monopod has never slipped and compacts quite nicely.

Wobbly when extended and joints tend to slip if activly moving around with your rig. I noticed it getting lower and lower as I changed positions. I tried really overtightening and it helped a little. Had to take it apart and degrease, excess oil on the threads getting in undesirable places was the problem. After that it stayed put.

I have used the “SIRUI Camera Monopod AM-MDP01, 65 inch Carbon Fiber Monopod Compact Lightweight for Travel, Max Load 22lbs/10kg“ mainly for photographing high school football, but I have been very pleased with its ease of use and sturdiness. It seems to be well made, and where else are you going to find a carbon fiber shaft at this price point? It’s a great value.
