Not for backpacking :(
A bit disappointed - I have a new ultralight hammock - and these straps are pretty much as heavy as my hammock. They are not bad straps, I used them once and they performed well, but way too heavy for backpacking and carrying around. If you've got a hammock in your garden, these should, however, be fit for purpose.

Stitching undone after 3 uses
I received these straps a few days ago, I have hung my hammock between two trees and have noticed that the stitching has split even though I've used it 2 or 3 times

A must-have item with your Wise Owl hammock.
These straps are fantastic. Gone are the days of tying knots and occasionally ending up on the floor. They're really quick and easy to use, really sturdy, and look great too. There's no movement or stretch like normal rope and easy to adjust. I would recommend buying these alongside your Wise Owl hammock every time. Highly recommended.

Strong and Simple
Great addition to the hammock. Makes the hammock easier to hang and builds in a lot more flexibility around how far the trees or other tying points are apart. Really strong and roll up very tightly into a handy Wise Owl bag. A must for every camping trip!

Super Gurte für das Training an Gymnastikringen
Nutze das Produkt zum Training mit Gymnastikringen bzw. als Haltegurte für die Ringe. Super Alternative zu den standardmäßig verwendeten Spanngurten, man kann die Gurtlängen schnell und unkompliziert mit dem Karabiner an die jeweilige Übung anpassen (Rudern, Ring-Liegestütze...).

No use debating about it- these are worth every penny!
I know what you're thinking. You're wondering if it really makes sense to pay $20 for some rope to hang your hammock, when you have plenty of rope in your shed. Will it really be worth it? Yep. It sure is!Forget stringing rope and tying knots and then continuously adjusting your rope until you get the perfect hanging height. I'm a 5'2" female, and hanging the hammock was always a struggle for me, until I got these ropes. Now hanging a hammock literally takes me about 2 minutes, if I'm taking my time. I love that it takes almost no effort to hang my hammock!I keep my hammock and these ropes in my car, and I hang out whenever I have the chance. At the playground with the kid? Pop up the hammock and avoid making small talk with annoying moms in yoga pants. The hammock is now the very first thing I put up, and the very last thing I take down, at every camping trip!

Great product. Comparable to other more expensive brands.
Only used them once, but very happy with them. The atlas straps I have and love, but are expensive. I was looking for a more affordable price and also hoping to get the same quality- which of course doesn’t always happen. So far, lookin real good, wise owl. I own a wise owl hammock as well which I love and is comparable to some of the more expensive brands as well. So. Bravo for making quality products at pretty affordable prices. I don’t assume il get anything for free, but I don’t have a ton of money so of course always looking for help with that without buying throw away products. Wise Owl does not make throw away products

Bottoms Up?
Ordered these straps for extra hammies we purchased for various hitchhiking relatives. Whisper the word "camp" and they pile in and hang on. Gentle use has revealed a pretty face that is apparently fragile. Straps are unraveling at important stress points. Skinny teen boys do not exceed the weight limits of the hammies or straps. Vigilance is mandatory here unless you want to end up on YOUR end.Update. Wise Owl was contacted, informed of straps failure and PROMISED to replace the clearly defective straps. As of 16 months later, we are still waiting. Buy at your own risk.

Love them! *Updated*
I have only used them a couple of times but I can already tell you that they're made to last. The build is just as good as the ENO Atlas straps and they're cheaper! Simple to put up and they don't scratch off any bark off of trees, which many people may not care about but if you do... they're certainly tree friendly. I'm a bigger guy at 215lbs and they seem to be absolutely fine.Ordering a second set soon!*Update*I've used them about 20 separate times now and have spent at least a combined 100 hours on them and they still work and look like new. They are a must have!

Makes putting up a hammock super easy!
These make putting up your hammock easy enough for even a child. I'm NO GOOD at tying knots or ropes so when I was choosing our hammock and saw these I bought them even though the hammock comes with rope. I didn't actually put up the hammock (We've had nonstop rain and also have no trees in our yard, we took them with on a family road trip to visit relatives in North Carolina and they had two perfectly spaced trees in their yard to test these out!) My husband put up the hammock in what seemed like a minute or two, they left it up for 3 days straight and he and the kids took turns lounging it it along and together. The straps held up perfectly and didn't seem to need any adjusting or re tightening! I'm sure most people will only put up a hammock for the day and take down so for them to stay up perfectly find for 3 days, and even one day of rain is pretty impressive! These will definitely last and making putting up the hammock easier for people, especially people like me that have no clue how to tie knots that will hold up something like this!

I love the camo option since DS is in ROTC. I found this looking for a way to safely hang a hammock chair under my DS' dorm bed that is being lofted and because of the way the strapping works will be very easy to leave the strap around the bed frame but take down the hammock swing when storing things for a room inspection and if too many people in his room making chance for unsafe use of hammock swing. Because it comes with two straps if he wants to put his hammock chair up on a tree by the fountain pond he doesn't have to take the one off his bed. And can be used with a regular hammock in the deer woods here at home.

Great Product
Last year I ordered the Wise Owl double hammock. I used the hammock on the AT. I did not have the straps during that hike, but loved the hammock. This weekend i'm doing the Ocala section of the Florida trail, the straps will allow me a little more versatility, longer distances and different diameter trees. I used one of the straps the day I received the straps to hang my hammock, using a large palm tree. The straps are nice and seem to be built very well, it allowed me to hang my hammock on a large tree with ease. With the normal ropes or straps that come with the hammock work great, but limit you on distance and tree size. I'm very happy with the purchase, the quality and the speed of delivery. I did a review of the hammock and sent a photo of it on the AT, the seller contacted me via email, I was extremely happy with their customer service, I did not have any issue with the product, but they followed up with me after my positive comments and feedback pertaining to their products. Straps are nice and long
I love my wise owl hammock and tree straps! My kids bought me the hammock for my birthday. In the past I always had to ask my boys to hang up my hammocks for me because of the difficulty of tying the knots, but with these new wise owl Talon straps, I can quickly do it myself. In addition, the straps are so long that they work if you have an area where the trees are not close together. My friend who goes to Haiti on mission trips saw my Talon straps and said, "those would be great for Haiti!" I loaned him the straps, and he ended up giving them to an old Haitian man who fell in love with the hammock! So now I'm on my second set! I love them. Thanks, wise owl, for creating a great product and having great customer service to boot.
