Q: I really wanted a 5,000 iu tablet so i am cutting the tablet in half so i get that amount. is there any reason why this isn't ok?

Unless the tablet is scored (like an indent) in order to make equal or smaller portions, then there is no way to be sure that the pieces truly have a consistent or equal amount of a substance. HOWEVER, you will probably not be so far off in amount that cutting these in half would be a true problem.

My bottle says the main ingredient is 10,000 IUs of Vitamin A (as retinyl palmitate and 50% as beta carotene). Other Ingredients: Cellulose, stearic acid, organic coating (tapioca maltodextrin, sunflower lecithin, sustainable palm oil, guar gum), silica, magnesium stearate.
