this book totally met my expectations as it spoke what was on my heart. we have an almost 8 year old daughter and last dec 2015 we had a miscarriage at 10weeks and 3days. the pregnancy itself was a miracle due to fertility issues and so we were super excited to finally welcome a brother or sister for our daughter. unfortunately at our 12 week ultrasound baby didn't have a heartbeat...... baby was already gone.... ended up with a d&c 2 days before Christmas last year. this book really took the words out of my heart and really spoke the raw feelings of experiencing a loss of an unborn child. the book brought tears to me eyes as I was reading it. I was planning on reading it through a few weeks and ended up finishing in 90 minutes. thank u so much Stefanie for sharing your life with us in this candidly written book!

I'm so grateful that when God called Stefanie to share her story of pregnancy loss, she obeyed, and has therefore blessed us all. This book is raw, honest and faithful. It gives us a glimpse of hope and healing in the face of grief. The writing is heartfelt and full of beautiful imagery. We get the chance to laugh and cry alongside her family and feel a part of it. Stefanie Tong reveals to us the face of grief that is often hidden. She makes it ok to talk about miscarriage in our own lives and give us tools to talk to friends who may be experiencing the something similar. Thank you for this book. I have been touched deeply by reading it.

I know many friends who have experienced pregnancy loss and suffered from mental illnesses. As a bystander, it's difficult to understand what they are truly going through. The author's account of her miscarriages, conversations with God, grief, and struggle with depression were deeply honest and emotional. The story does not hold back, it shows you the deep dark pit of grief and depression, but also shows you how one can begin to cope and battle on. This story will touch many hearts.

Super real, beautiful and honest. Hard to read emotionally but the writing was amazing. Everything flowed seamlessly.

A must read for anyone - a hurting mama or papa or anyone who wants to understand miscarriage more!
