LOVE the ambience but having trouble operating the clock part

It’s definitely cheap and I guess looks okay but feels cheap. That said, it works well. ‘Does what it says it will and is quite pleasant to have in any room. It has different light settings and colours, from fixed to relaxing motions, that create a soothing cast on walls, ceilings. Also has different sound modes and can be programmed with the app to play for a certain length of time and then switch off. You do need to download the app to use it but it’s very straightforward.Also, it can be used as a basic alarm clock with pretty lights, which on the right setting, can mimic sunrise and birdsong. One feature it doesn’t have is an fm radio, which isn’t essential but would make it better.It can also be used in the evening to wind down with soothing lights that mimic the ambience of sunset and would be useful for people who struggle to sleep or even in a nursery.As well as this, it can be used on continuous mode for soothing background noise and/or lighting, useful for meditation, studying and general relaxation.It is mains powered, with no battery back up, so would be no use in a power cut, but otherwise handy as you don’t have to worry about charging or replacing batteries. I have tested it thoroughly, used it on continuous mode for several hours, it doesn’t use much power at all and does not get hot in the slightest. So, overall, this is pleasant, easy to use, does what it claims and great for relaxation. Cheap and cheerful, though wouldn’t pay more than £10-£15 for it. Can’t complain.

I had hoped that this lamp would turn on like a sunrise to let me wake up naturally before making any sound.Using the alarm function, the light comes on at the same time as the alarm sound.Using the timer function you can time the light to come on and control the volume of the sound a bit better so I had it to come on with very quiet wave sounds which was a more relaxing way to wake up, but still not quite what I was after. I haven't found a way to make it do what I want yet!That said the lamp function itself is really versatile, with the app you have a lot of control over the brightness, colour and timing etc so can use it as a lamp to fall asleep to, use the white noise function if you need that to drop off and there is a good range of choices, from the seaside I have chose, to birdsong, the wind and so on. It is very restful.It was easy to pair with the app and just takes a while to figure out all of the functions.Most controls are available using the remote control (you need to supply 2 AAA batteries for that).

This item was well received and nicely packed. It's pleasing to look at and appears well made.Seeing the remote control and lack of buttons on the actual clock left me wondering how to set up the clock and use the mood light. Once I went through the instructions, I could understand it better. For this, I would definitely recommend using the app, as this makes things much easier to understand and use. Although you can do it yourself with the remote, I suggest you wait because once you connect to your phone via Bluetooth, the clock automatically sets itself up for you.It's lovely to watch the various patterns on the display. You can have it as a normal light with any solid colour, or a pattern animation mode, for example waves or rainbow, which of course make the room glow in different colours. This would make it ideal for babies and children's room, and to create a relaxing mood atmosphere. I also like all the different alarm sounds that let you wake up slowly as if you were in the middle of nature.This is a well-made item, lovely to use and is good value for money.
