1080 DIY camera that uses the LookCam app. The focal point of the fixed-focus lens is set at a good overall distance and does not present as out of focus like some of the cameras out there that are geared more toward corporate espionage and are only in focus at about 3ft.Not a wide angle, the FOV is about 65 degrees.LookCam is a decent app that I have been using for about 6 years.

This is so cool! I got it to put in my garage as I’ve had some troubles with things going missing. Tried it out and got a screenshot of what the cameras pic quality is. Sound is crisp too but more so when closer to it.It’s very small and discreet. Love it!

I'm giving it 2 stars only because it worked ok until it didn't. The connection is constantly cutting out, even when right next to the device. The app is a joke, you can't even fast forward through a vid. Battery pack is bulky and cord is short so it limits where you can put it, plus fully charged it doesn't even last 8 hours. I've had to keep it plugged into an external battery, which again limits where it can be hidden. Then the port for the charging cable started to have problems and it wouldn't connect properly. Just went to unplug the cord to charge the external battery and heard a little crack, the entire internal charging port cracked off inside, can't get it out without ripping this thing apart. Save your money and get a better camera.

I used a video on YouTube to activate the camera. It is not intuitive, but it was certainly worth the effort. I have used it several times now and have already gathered enough video to resolve an issue that has caused concern for some time. In the past, participants in some meetings have acted differently when I informed them I would be recording the meetings. I now have documentation of how some individuals act when they believe they will be able to deny my reports on the meetings. I have no interest in *catching people " I only wish to have everyone in the company on the same page. If it isn't documented it didn't happen. Well now it is documented and we can help out people in the roles where they will succeed. This camera is great, I can't wait to find other reasons to use it.

What good is a video camera if you can’t capture and record things consistently? The app that comes with this device is frankly embarrassing. I think high schoolers in a computer science class can write something better. Half the time you push the video button to save the video it doesn’t work sometimes you turn on the device and you don’t even see the lights go on. Try something else.

Coming from someone who has been searching for a hidden camera that checks all of the boxes, WiFi, cloud recording, SD, saves videos even when not connected to WiFi, quality pictures, stays connected to WiFi from further rooms, super small & inconspicuous, easy to set up and understand. This is it, I’m waiting to see if it will preform and catch what I need it to catch and I will come back and update but so far this is exceeding expectations.
