All I know is that it has a 10 year warranty (prior to purchase).BACKGROUND INFOAbout Me: 32yo male, 5’11”, 180 lbs, active. Incident about 2 years ago caused chronic lower back pain. Stretching/exercises/TENS/heating pad help. I don’t take medication. Recently, my back would take up to 8 hours to relax and loosen up. Then I would go to bed and have the same issue the next day.Typical Sleeping Positions: 90% side with top leg bent, 10% backOld Mattress: Only 3 years and 2 months old. It’s a Steinhafel’s brand luxury pillow top. First 6 months were amazing! Unfortunately, mattress became uncomfortable shortly after the 120 night trial period ended and is just awful now. Still looks brand new.SHIPPING & BOX CONDITIONUPS Next Day Air Saver from Northwest to Midwest USA. Box arrived in good condition with a few small punctures. Tape was ripped off half of one side on top and bottom of box.DIMENSIONS, WEIGHT & PACKAGINGThe queen mattress should measure 80x60x10 and weigh about 64 lbs. In reality, it is slightly wider than 60 inches as it hangs off my box spring and past my headboard a little over 0.25 inches on each side.I was able to get it inside, unpacked and carried up to a second floor bedroom by myself. The average (fit) person shouldn’t have a problem as long as it’s kept compressed until you get it to where you want it.Mattress was compressed in a heavy-duty plastic bag, wrapped several times with heavy-duty plastic, placed in a weaved plastic drawstring bag and shipped in a heavy-duty Sweetnight branded cardboard box.MANUFACTURE DATE & RECOMMENDED OPENING PERIODThe mattress I received was manufactured October 2017.In the Q&A section, Sweetnight mentioned opening it within 6 months and that they add an extra 0.5 inches of memory foam to the total height because if it stays compressed too long the foam may not fully expand. It measures exactly 10 inches with the cover on.DECOMPRESSION EXPERIENCEMattress expanded quickly and reached nearly 100% in about 2 hours. Like another reviewer, I needed to remove the cover and adjust the corners because they initially expanded to only 90%. After adjusting the corners, they expanded in full by the next morning.SMELL/ODORI have an excellent sense of smell and this mattress gives off the typical memory foam odor. The odor was strong enough to fill the room. It did not give me a headache or make me feel sick. I have a Protect-a-Bed waterproof protector over the mattress and after a day or two I detected odor while sleeping. I ended up pulling back the sheets and protector to allow the mattress to air out until bedtime. After 1 week, I washed my sheets and removed the protector to allow the mattress to air out again and this time it did not fill the room with odor. If I put my nose to the mattress and sniff I can still detect a very slight odor. I’ll probably let it air out every week until it completely goes away. Manufacturer should not claim it is completely odor free. Minus 0.5 stars***EDIT: After pulling back the sheets to let it air out for the 2nd week, I noticed no odor wafting from the mattress. Even if I put my nose to the mattress, I cannot detect any more odor!FIRMNESS LEVELS (1=soft, 10=firm)I do not agree with the manufacturer or other reviewers that state the soft side of this mattress feels soft or like sleeping on a cloud. It’s much too firm for what I imagine sleeping on a cloud is like. As a point of reference, I’d rate my luxury pillow top a 3. The Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-Flex Supreme gets a 4.5. The soft side of this mattress gets a 6.5 and the firm side gets an 8.5. I assume this mattress would feel softer to a heavier person and firmer to a lighter one. Minus 0.5 star.SUPPORT & COMFORTThe gel infused top layer adapts quickly if you roll over. The support feels similar (in a way) to the $2,300 Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-Flex Supreme that another family member uses. However, the TEMPUR-Flex Supreme utilizes a slower adapting memory foam, is less firm overall and is much more comfortable...but it’s $2,300!Soft side is firm, but your body sinks in (maybe up to 1.5 inches) and the foam molds to your body and supports your curves. So yes, it’s firm, but supportive and comfort is acceptable. So far it’s better than my non-supportive pillow top. The firm side is way to firm and hard for me.The 3-zone middle layer is made up of 3 different pieces of foam. The pieces under your head and feet are softer while the middle piece under your hips is firmer. Just by laying and/or pressing down with my hand, I can feel the difference. I wish the middle layer was made up of the softer foam only.I was reading somewhere that men should look for a mattress that is softer under their shoulders and women should find one that is softer under their hips due to bone density and body structure and where each gender would benefit from pressure relief. With that being said, this mattress should be good for men, but I would caution women because the foam under their hips may be too firm.COOLING GELThe top layer of foam is infused with gel to allow for better cooling while you sleep. This does help and not once did I wake to find myself overheated. If you sleep on the firm side, you will not have gel infused foam to help keep you cool as it is only on the soft side.EDGE SUPPORTEdge support is ok for sleeping, but very poor for sitting. I can sleep right on the edge and do not feel like I am going to fall out. The mattress compresses significantly if I sit right on the edge to put on socks/shoes. If I sit so the back of my knees are touching the mattress, the edge does not sink in that much. Minus 0.1 star.MATTRESS PROTECTOR & DEEP POCKET SHEETSI am using a Protect-a-Bed protector over this mattress and it affects the feel of the memory foam. I think it makes it a bit firmer/harder because the air cannot escape as easily and because the thin layer of waterproof backing on the protector is not stretchy so when you lay down it provides a bit of tension keeping you from sinking in as fast/far. BUT, you really should be using a waterproof protector with any memory foam mattress as the foam will suck up any moisture (sweat, spilled liquids, urine, etc.) and is practically impossible to clean and moist foam can easily lead to mold growth. And mold is bad.This 10” mattress works well with regular and most deep pocket sheets. I am using 15” deep sheets and they work fine.SLEEP QUALITY WEEK 1 (Soft side of mattress)My quality of sleep was definitely a little better than with my previous mattress, however, I did a lot of tossing and turning. One night I made a point to look at the clock every time and it seemed like I was sleeping good for 45 minutes and then had to turn over. This went on all night, every night. I understand my body needs to get use to a new mattress, but I’ve never experienced anything like this in the past. So far, I am not pleased. Back pain is slightly better than with old mattress.SLEEP QUALITY WEEK 2 (Soft side of mattress with 3” memory foam topper)I put a 3” ViscoSoft gel memory foam topper on top of the mattress to soften things up a bit. If the mattress were really like sleeping on a cloud I wouldn’t have needed to do this. I’ve been sleeping much better after adding a the topper. I am tossing and turning significantly less and waking with much less back pain.SLEEP QUALITY WEEK 3 (Soft side of mattress with 3” memory foam topper)Same as week 2. Much better than without the topper. I am happy I already had the topper because I think it’s unacceptable to purchase one just to make the mattress more comfortable (which is what Sweetnight instructed other reviewers to do).SLEEP QUALITY WEEK 4 (Soft side of mattress with 3” memory foam topper)Same as week 2 & 3. I do not notice any permanent depressions or premature wear in the areas I sit to watch TV before bed or actually lay to sleep.PRICINGIf you are looking for a medium-firm to firm mattress, I find it to be reasonably priced at $428 for the queen size, but watch for deals. I was able to get this for $350 right after the holidays as a Prime Deal. I’ve seen it priced at $388 (includes $50 coupon) and another reviewer mentioned getting it for $400. If you want a softer mattress, this is not a good investment because you will most likely need to purchase a separate foam topper. A good one of those runs around $100.TRAIL PERIOD, RETURN POLICY & WARRANTY REGISTRATIONNo mention of trial period or return policy up front. What if I don’t like the mattress? How the heck and I going to ship this thing back? The paperwork that comes with the mattress states you have 30 days. Minus 0.1 star.Register at sweetnight.store for the 10 year warranty. I am disappointed that no additional information is provided. What’s covered? What’s not? Minus 0.1 star.After registration, you are supposed to be able to login with your email address and serial number. That doesn’t work for me, so I will contact Sweetnight to get this sorted out. ***Edit: I contacted Sweetnight and received a reply within a few hours. They verified my mattress was registered for the warranty and assured me I could log into their site. I tried again and still cannot log in on IE, Chrome or Firefox. I tried re-setting my password and I receive a message that there is no registered user with that email address. Whatever. At least they respond to email inquiries fast. Minus 0.1 star.

I absolutely love this new bed, it’s SO comfy. I got the king size because my daughter sleeps with my husband & I. We actually all have so much room now and this mattress doesn’t have us rolling on top of each other like our old one did. Absolutely love it, it’s not too firm but not too soft.

Full confession, this is not my first mattress purchase online and I did not buy this for my main bed. A couple of years ago I picked up a mattress from one of those more expensive (actually much more expensive) online brands. It replaced a memory foam mattress from a giant furniture store that was about four years old and was extremely uncomfortable Our guest room has an old mattress and box springs that has traveled from college apartments to a couple of different houses. I had been looking at memory foam mattresses for the guest room for quite a while. I was drawn to this one for a couple of reasons. Price was definitely a factor, I don't mind making guests comfortable but we don't have company very often and I did not want to break the bank. The other interesting feature on this mattress for me was the ability to flip it to adjust firmness as that was a new feature to me. I took a chance on this one and I am happy with my purchase and will provide some details why.Amazon delivered this to me in record time, and as luck would have it the day it arrived at my house is the same day my wife came home sick. She is a school teacher and this is a somewhat common occurrence but this time I had a new mattress to try out so I had an excuse to sleep in the guest room so I did not get sick. The mattress box is small and this actually surprised me. Both of our previous mattress purchases arrived with the mattress simply "rolled" and not folded up. This means that you really need two people to carry it upstairs as the length of the packaging is obviously the same length as the long part of the mattress. This mattress was folded up in a box and I was able to carry it upstairs solo. I am not saying it is light as a feather, but I could manage it. Opening the box and getting the mattress out was easy enough and the mattress did not put off too much of a noticeable odor out of the box (one of our previous purchases stunk the room up for a week). I don't know if that is due to the environmental certification this one has or what but it is a relief from previous experiences. After getting it in place I let it set a few hours to decompress and then I slept on it that night. They generally recommend more time to set up before use but it did not bother me to use and it looked like it puffed up quite a bit. I installed the "soft" side up and it was not overly soft to where you sink into it and feel uncomfortable. I would still call it supportive. I slept through the night without issue and that is a rare thing for me because generally when I sleep on a different bed, such as when travelling, I am up and down throughout the night. I slept on this mattress all weekend and to be honest I was starting to have second thoughts about my much more expensive mattress in the main bedroom as this one was simply that good. I frequently have back pain on different beds and I had no such issue on this one. I am looking forward to trying this one out again during the summer to see if it keeps me cooler than my main bed but so far this one is a winner to me and at a price that is hard to beat. I will be sure to update this review if I have any issues.

Had my old bed for nearly 10 years. I did TONS of research and this was the first bed that I said “okay I’ll give it a try.” Boy has this been the best purchase I’ve ever made. Every night when we lay down we say “this is a great bed.” There’s no noise, it’s the perfect mix of firm and soft, the color is great. I got the king size and it has changed our lives. I can’t say enough good things about this mattress!!! I will be buying this brand in the future.

This mattress. Get it. You won’t regret it. Bought it for our master bedroom 3 years ago and it is holding up amazingly (and my husband is a large man). We love it so much we have since bought one for our guest bedroom, and recommended it to other family members. They have bought it as well and are very happy with their purchase. Feels soft enough to be comfortable, but is structured enough to give great spine support. My lower back pain went away after upgrading to this.

I wanted to make sure i waited a decent amount of time before reviewing this mattress. I purchased this in June of 2021, and for the first three months i had the worst sleeps of my life . I tried rotating, and flipping on multiple occasions, but it never got any better. I added TWO memory foam toppers and a feather bed, and it made the mattress tolerable but it is still easily by far the most uncomfortable bed i have ever slept on. save your self the trouble, because returning a mattress is a nightmare!!!!

I purchased this mattress on the recommendation of a friend. I purchased a twin for my Son. Unfortunately the mattress was just over an inch wider and longer than described in the specifications and therefor didn't fit the bedframe we have. Amazon was very helpful in working through a return plan.

First time for a foam mattress. i love it. A great mattress at a great price
